Once again, Jordan Nobbs replies with an effort from 25 yards. She has linked play well for England so far, playing at the top of the diamond. 

Nice play in the final third from Germany as Leonie Maier works her way across the edge of the penalty box. It drops to Felicitas Rauch, who fires over from distance, but you can't blame her for trying to make an impact on her debut. 

England midfielder Jill Scott goes down clutching her wrist after a strong Germany challenge, but she's a tough customer and is OK to continue. You don't win over 100 caps without a few bumps and bruises along the way.

Bit of a scare for England as Gilly Flaherty mis-controls a back-pass but Karen Bardsley races from her goal to clear the danger.

England respond through Jordan Nobbs, who lets fly from 25 yards but it's easily gathered by German keeper Laura Benkarth, who is making her debut. 

Fairly evenly matched so far. 

Germany should be ahead here. Nice interchange in the midfield and Felicitas Rauch is clean through after Lucy Bronze fails to poke the ball back to Karen Bardsley but the England goalkeeper saves the low effort. Decent chance.

Bit of a stop in play as Germany's Leonie Maier recovers from a knock but back underway now. 

Chance for Germany as Lina Magull breaks forward for Germany, it's fed left but England centre-back Gilly Flaherty heads the resulting cross clear.

England midfielder Fara Williams is dropping deep to pick the ball off defenders Gilly Flaherty and Steph Houghton, and the Lionesses have started to maintain possession a bit better now.

Mark Sampson's team are yet to get a grip in midfield. Jodie Taylor, scorer of that memorable early goal in the World Cup quarter-final against hosts Canada, is working hard up front. 

The set-piece is delivered deep to the back post and German defender Babett Peter heads over. No trouble for Karen Bardsley in the England goal.

A feature of Germany's play is the central midfield partnership of Lena Goessling and Melanie Behringer and they link up before setting Lina Magull forward. Lucy Bronze brings her down and it's a free-kick outside the area in dangerous position.
