  4. Exeter hoping to avoid another upsetpublished at 11:45

Didcot Town v Exeter City (12:00 GMT)

Exeter City boss Paul Tisdale knows only too well not to take non-league teams lightly in this competition.

The Grecians were dumped out of the FA Cup in the first round by Warrington Town last season.

The Northern Premier Division One team made light of the 100-place gap between the two teams to secure a 1-0 win.

You can watch highlights of that game here, though if you're an Exeter fan you might not fancy it...

We've all got our favourite journeyman striker (haven't we?) but surely few players have been through as many clubs as Wealdstone frontman Jefferson Louis?

He scored twice for his side against Colchester yesterday but it wasn't enough, as they bowed out following a 6-2 defeat by the U's.

  12. Joy for Cobblers on the pitchpublished at 11:23

    Saturday: Coventry 1-2 Northampton

Northampton defied their off-field troubles to win against their former tenants Coventry.

  13. Elsewhere on Saturdaypublished at 11:20

2013 winners Wigan went out in emphatic fashion as local rivals Bury thumped the Latics 4-0 but there was better news for 2008 winners and 2010 finalists Portsmouth.

Pompey hadn't won an FA Cup match since beating Spurs in the 2010 semi-final but Adam McGurk's brace saw them past non-league Macclesfield.

There were also wins for Northampton and Stourbridge against higher-league opposition, while eighth-tier Northwich Victoria will be in Monday's second-round draw after their tie with National League Boreham Wood finished 1-1.

But it wasn't to be for underdogs Wealdstone or Worcester City, as they both eventually lost comfortably to League One clubs Colchester and Sheffield United respectively.

Damian Reeves' strike saw National League side Altrincham knock League One Barnsley out by recording their 17th FA Cup win over a Football League side - but their first for 21 years.

The game's only goal came when Ryan Crowther's shot was parried into the stride of Reeves, who tapped into an open net, sending the hosts through to the second round for the first time since 2001.

Damian Reeves' goal gave Alty their 17th FA Cup win over Football League opposition. No non-league team has claimed more.
