Palace win a corner themselves, rather fortunately as the ball appeared to come off Joel Ward last.

Referee Craig Pawson gives a free-kick for a foul against Tim Howard but Connor Wickham's only crime was to stand his ground.

Arouna Kone has a shot for Everton but he's well off target, not for the first time tonight.

Gerard Deulofeu wins another corner, as the home side start the second half positively, but the Spaniard's deliver of it is once again poor.

There's a reason Everton have only scored once from a set-piece so far this season.

The second half is under way. A goal could really open this up. And Everton have an early corner.

The players are back out at Goodison. No changes from either team.

Now, what chances of a goal in this half?

Seamus Coleman is getting better and better defensively. He's becoming the complete full-back. This season I think he's been the best in the Premier League.

Who do you consider the Premier League's most under-rated foreign players - and why?

Les Eaton, Basildon: West Ham's Winston Reid must be the most underrated foreign player in the Premier League this season, always excellent but hardly ever gets a mention.

Manan Kapila: Daley Blind without a doubt! Nobody thought he had the physicality or pace required to be a good centre-back but look at United's defensive record this season! Not to mention his excellent over the top balls (throwback to RvP at the World Cup).

John Stone's anticipation is ahead of the attackers', ahead of the play, and I'm a huge admirer. He's been a huge plus since he broke through into the side. You watch him closely, he's anticipating where the midfielder is going to pass the ball. He's going to be a superstar.

So no breakthrough at Goodison, Connor Wickham had Palace's best effort with the header that cannoned off Tim Howard's chest, while Romelu Lukaku, seeking his 50th Everton goal in his 100th appearance for the club, struck the post.

Plenty of nice football, little end product. A bit more oomph would be welcome in the second half.

John Stones has been solid in defence but the centre-back has also had his moments in the Crystal Palace half, as this graphic of the England international's touches shows.

He's dribbled out of defence on occasion and a cute cross in the box caused chaos among Palace's defence.

Another poor Everton corner - this time from Ross Barkley - but it nearly comes to something as Connor Wickham fails to deal with it. However, Gareth Barry cannot get any juice on his shot which is straight at Wayne Hennessey, who finally has a save to make.

James McArthur tries a left-footed side-foot volley for Palace but can't control his shot.

Nothing doing from the corner - the delivery from Gareth Barry lacked pace while Arouna Kone can't find a team-mate from the follow-up.

John Stones landed awkwardly when attempting a header from the corner and the England centre-half is limping slightly.

Seamus Coleman cuts inside but his left-foot shot is deflected behind for an Everton corner. Gerard Deulofeu is then robbed of possession before the ball can come across.

The Spaniard gets the ball back, jinks into the area and wins another corner.

Tom Cleverley breaks forward for Everton and feeds Gerard Deulofeu but the Spaniard can't find a way through.

There are plenty of Palace defenders surrounding Deulofeu when the ball goes to him.

Everton are still to get an effort on target but Lukaku did hit the post earlier.
