Ever wondered what Match of the Day looks like behind the scenes?

Tonight's Match of the Day 2 goes out at 22.40 GMT and this is the view pundits Phil Neville and Martin Keown will have of the action as they decide on what/who to run the rule over.

Here we are at Emirates Stadium and presented with that most unlikely scenario - Arsenal and Manchester City chasing down Leicester City to see who can be closest to the Foxes at Christmas.

In this season of unpredictability, Arsenal and manager Arsene Wenger may never have a better chance to win their first Premier League title since 2004.

If they win tonight they can make a statement and move to within two points of Claudio Ranieri's side - but City can also put a marker down against the side expected to be their closest title rivals.

Arsenal v Man City (20:00 GMT)

We head into this evening's match with Arsenal second, five points behind Leicester. Manchester City are a point further back in third.

I don't know what to expect tonight. This season's Premier League is about as predictable as the ending to the new Star Wars film.

    What? You didn't know?

I'm only pulling your leg. I've not watched any of the Star Wars films so this is a spoiler free zone.

Rightio, apart from the fella who allegedly put a fiver on Leicester to be top of the Premier League at Christmas, who else predicted this clash would be about one of the two heavyweights trying to cut the Foxes' five-point lead at the top?

  7. It'll leave you wanting morepublished at 18:35

Arsenal v Man City (20:00 GMT)

Rather like smoked salmon, a Premier League clash between two of the best and most attractive teams in the division is very unlikely to let anybody down.

It will be light, delicate and pure. And leave us wanting to gorge ourselves on the rest of the festive sports programme.

Even better... the mother-in-law/father-in-law/annoying uncle/relatives from outer Mongolia* are unlikely to be sharing this little treat with you so there's no need to take an emergency chair to the shed to escape the chaos. Leave that until Boxing Day.

    Just sit back and enjoy.
