Bristol City manager Steve Cotterill has a pretty solid link to Nottingham. Tonight sees him rack up his 100th game in charge of the Robins, but he guided Notts County to League Two title glory a few years back and also had a spell in charge of Forest.
He was there less than a year before becoming the first sacking of the Al Hasawi years in July 2012, shortly after they took over at the City Ground.
Evening all. Championship football awaits you. And it’s two teams desperate for points if ever I saw it.
Nottingham Forest boss Dougie Freedman has more injury and suspension problems than you could shake a stick at and have only won three in ten in the league this season, while Bristol City – last season’s all-conquering League One champions - are beginning to forget what it feels like to win.
Steve Cotterill’s side have yet to pick up three points at home this season in five attempts.
