    That is horrible.

Kevin de Bruyne wanted to take the penalty, but it is Wilfried Bony who steps up and blazes the ball over the bar.

  3. Derby closing in on top spotpublished at 16:25 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2015

    Football League latest

Burnley are Hull's bogey team but the Tigers lead 2-0 thanks to Jake Livermore and Abel Hernandez.

Huddersfield are now 2-0 up against Preston and Sheffield Wednesday lead Birmingham 3-0.

League Two leaders Plymouth have gone 1-0 ahead against Yeovil.

That result would prevent Oxford going top, with the U's 2-0 up against Exeter.

  7. Postpublished at 16:24 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2015

    Chelsea 2-2 Watford

    Jason Roberts
Former West Brom striker on Final Score

"It's hard to see whether Diego Costa was offside or not, but his first touch, under pressure, was excellent and his finish shows he is full of confidence now."

  8. Costa at it againpublished at 16:23

    Chelsea 2-2 Watford

So simple, so effective. Willian gets the ball on the right wing, midway through the half. Instead of a cross he slides in a wonderful early pass, cutting out the Watford defence and finding Diego Costa on the fringes of being offside. The Brazilian/Spaniard's first touch takes him a touch wide but he recovers to slide a finish into the far corner.

  9. 'Good goal from Benteke'published at 16:24 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2015

    Liverpool 1-0 Leicester

    Kevin Kilbane
Former Everton winger on Final Score

"Leicester have scored in every game this season, could the run come to an end today? It was a good goal from Christian Benteke, who stretched to finish it for Liverpool."

  10. Postpublished at 16:23

    Liverpool 1-0 Leicester

Christian Benteke caught offside again for Liverpool. He does love a badly timed run - although it's hard to criticise him too much today since he's scored the only goal.

  11. Ayew on the spotpublished at 16:22

    Aston Villa 1-1 West Ham

A big penalty for Aston Villa - buried! Jordan Ayew steps up and fires into the roof of the net.

  12. Benteke puts Liverpool aheadpublished at 16:22

    Liverpool 1-0 Leicester

Good play by Liverpool around the box, Roberto Firmino plays the ball across the box and substitute Christian Benteke throws himself at it to turn it home for his fifth Reds goal in the league.

Are Leicester facing the end of their 10-game unbeaten run? Although don't forget they have scored at least one in every single Premier League game this season...

  16. PENALTY TO VILLApublished at 16:20 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2015

    Aston Villa 0-1 West Ham

Rudy Gestede is involved, chasing into the area and going down under a Angelo Ogbonna chalenge...

  17. Postpublished at 16:18

    Aston Villa 0-1 West Ham

If Aston Villa are to find a way back into the game it looks like being through the boot, or head, of Rudy Gestede. The giant striker swivels to crash in a shot from a disputed free-kick but it is beaten clear by Adrian.

  18. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 16:18

    Swansea 1-0 West Brom

West Brom have made a double change - and it is a punchy one.

Off go Craig Gardner and Jonas Olsson, on come Saido Berahino and Stephane Sessegnon. This is chips-on-the-table time from Tony Pulis.

  19. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 16:18

    Man City 4-1 Sunderland

Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany makes his return after eight games out, replacing Nicolas Otamendi.

Fabian Delph comes on for goalscorer Yaya Toure.

And now Sunderland make a switch, Jeremain Lens on for Steven Fletcher

  20. Borini takes advantage of City presentpublished at 16:17

    Man City 4-1 Sunderland

Sunderland midfielder Lee Cattermole takes a shot but it's awful - as you'd expect. However it lands right to Fabio Borini - in yards of space. Where are the Manchester City defence? Has Manuel Pellegrini let them go home early?

Anyway Borini's first shot from close range is saved by Hart, still no defenders anywhere to be seen, so Borini has a second go and scores.
