That chance for Watford has left Alan Curtis a bit jittery and he decides to bolster his defence, bringing on Jordi Amat for Ki Sung-yueng. 

Six minutes remaining and Lukasz Fabianski is called into a rare bit of action as a corner is cleared only as far as Jurado, who volleys from 25 yards. It is well hit, but straight at Fabianski. Easy save in the end.

On comes Bafetimbi Gomis, replacing Andre Ayew. He's getting a standing ovation. Not sure any player deserves a standing ovation for their performance in this game. Dire.

"I'm just trying to think about who's had a half-decent game for Swansea and it's mainly been the old guard... Williams, Sigurdsson, Britton... they've shown that it matters to play for this football club, that it matters to stay in the Premiership."

...and it is poor from Ben Watson, straight into the Swansea wall. 

Meanwhile Bafetimbi Gomis is getting ready to come on for the final 10 minutes for Swansea.

Good chance for Watford now as they win a free-kick just outside the Swansea area. Ben Watford is standing over it...

Time is running out for Watford. Quique Sanchez Flores makes his first change as Ecuador international Juan Carlos Paredes comes on for Nyom.

"There seems to be so little communication between the players out there. Time and again we've seem Swansea players in space and they've turned in."

This game briefly threatens to break into a moment of spontaneous excitement as Ki Sung-yueng loses the ball on the edge of the Watford area and the visitors break through Troy Deeney. The Watford skipper, with Odion Ighalo in support, dithers and Ashley Williams nips in to halt the attack.

Moments earlier, there were half-hearted calls for a Swansea penalty when a cross struck Ben Watson inside the area. 

Modou Barrow is straight into the action as he has his shirt pulled by Nyom and wins Swansea a free-kick. Gylfi Sigurdsson clips it in, headed away.

This game needs a spark to get it going and Swansea boss Alan Curtis decides it is time to make a change.

On comes forward Modou Barrow for Wayne Routledge. Barrow is still looking for his first goal for the club since joining in 2014. 

Not sure he will prove to be the spark this game needs, but you never know.

"It's a slender advantage and Swansea haven't come close to adding to that. The Jack Cork effort was probably the closest they've come in 20 minutes."

Leon Britton is the first Swansea man to be booked tonight, handling the ball midway inside his half. Ben Watson takes the free-kick, hitting it high but the ball never comes down and sails well over the bar. He got that one all wrong.

"All of a sudden Watford have shown up. We've got a team who want to win a game of football. We've got two teams participating now so it's much better fare."

Swansea have had to soak up some Watford pressure, but they enjoy a rare attack in this half as Andre Ayew heads a high ball into the box down for Jack Cork, who has a go with a first-time effort. Just wide. 

They could do with a second goal.

Troy Deeney has struggled to make an impact in this game. He has had one touch inside the Swansea area and hasn't linked up well with Odion Ighalo at all.
