"It's been hard work so far. Neither side has shown any inclination to pass the ball with tempo. It's been a stuttered first 20 minutes."

  2. Postpublished at 20 mins

    Swansea 0-0 Watford

I say Watford have not been in the Swansea area, they have now, Troy Deeney stealing possession on the right and fizzing the ball across the face of goal, but Odion Ighalo's header is off target.

Watford's average position map shows quite a large gap between defence and attack. They've been very cautious so far, they certainly don't seem too keen to take many risks in these early stages. They haven't even been in the Swansea area yet.

  4. Rhodes ready for actionpublished at 20:17 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2016

    Newport 1-1 Blackburn

BBC Sport Wales' Michael Pearlman at Rodney Parade: "Jordan Rhodes is stripped and ready for action after a vigorous half time warm-up. Rovers obviously feel they need their most reliable finisher on the field."

  5. Get involved #bbcfootballpublished at 20:17 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2016

OK. APART from Clough and Taylor and Robson and Venables, when has having joint managers ever worked out?

This is starting to sound like a Monty Python sketch...

  6. Postpublished at 13 mins

    Swansea 0-0 Watford

Wayne Routledge squeezes through the Watford backline to bring a high ball under control, but the visitors' defence recovers quickly to poke the ball out for a corner, which comes to nothing.

All Swansea, but no real chances yet.

"Watford are having no real impact on the game so far. It's probably been Swansea who've been that little bit more fluent, even without that missing centre forward."

  8. Postpublished at 9 mins

    Swansea 0-0 Watford

Another Swansea attack is ended by the linesman's flag as this time Ki Sung-yueng loiters yards offside as Gylfi Sigurdsson pokes a ball through the Watford defence.

Watford are yet to get going in this game.

I'll give you that one Julian, but surely the exception rather than the rule? Any others?

  10. 'Sore necks for fans'published at 20:09 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2016

"There might be a few sore necks at the Liberty Stadium tonight. Most of the fans in the stand behind the dugout have spent the first few minutes with their heads turned, catching a glimpse of new head coach Francesco Guidolin.

"The 60-year-old former Udinese manager has taken his seat in the directors' box alongside assistant coach Gabriele Ambrosetti - the two Italians are on a "watching brief" tonight, leaving the coaching duties to interim boss Alan Curtis."

  11. 'All unraveled for Swansea'published at 20:07 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2016

"This is a Swansea City side who last year finished eighth in the Premier League and they did start well this season, but it's all unraveled for them. Since the end of October they've only had the one win."

  12. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:07

    Newport 1-1 Blackburn

It is all square at the break in a great FA Cup tie at Newport. Can the second half top the first?

  13. Postpublished at 6 mins

    Swansea 0-0 Watford

This is promising stuff from Swansea. They are pushing high up the pitch, with Jack Cork getting the chance to charge forward.

The midfielder has scored just one goal in a Swansea shirt and it is clear to see why as he balloons an effort well over from the edge of the area.

Alan Curtis has mixed things up for what is his final game in sole charge of Swansea, and it's a very attacking style he has gone for with Wayne Routledge, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Andre Ayew part of a three-pronged attack.

Routledge stings the hands of Heurelho Gomes with an early effort, but he is offside.

  15. Watford's dippublished at 20:01 Greenwich Mean Time 18 January 2016

    Swansea 0-0 Watford

    Ian Dennis
BBC Radio 5 live senior football reporter

"You look at the facts and the figures, Watford are very reliant on Odion Ighalo and Troy Deeney. They've only had six different Premier League scorers so that would be a little bit of a concern, but in saying that you're always going to have a little bit of dip in form in time."

  16. KICK-OFFpublished at 1 mins

    Francesco GuidolinImage source, Getty Images

I've just spotted Francesco Guidolin in the stands with a big old coat on, looking very cold. In fairness, it's not like he won't be used to it, apparently it is -1C in Udinese right now, while it is a cosy 6C in Swansea.

The players are out on the pitch, kick-off is moments away.

  18. 'Shelvey sale strange'published at 19:58

    Swansea v Watford (20:00 GMT)

    Mark Lawrenson
Ex-Liverpool defender at Anfield for BBC Radio 5 live

"Why would you sell Jonjo Shelvey in that predicament before you brought somebody in? I just don't get that."

  19. Will it work out?published at 19:55

Roy Evans and Gerard Houllier were joint managers at Liverpool in 1998, but the former left just four months into the season

Five minutes until kick-off in tonight's Premier League game.

For the final time this season Alan Curtis will be in sole charge of the team, before Francesco Guidolin joins him in the dugout.

Does having joint managers ever truly work out? Who do the players answer to? Surely it always ends in tears for someone.
