    Everton 0-1 Swansea

Everton boss Roberto Martinez looks a worried man standing arms folded on the touchline. Just three wins in 13 at Goodison Park, which is a major concern.

Midfielder Muhamed Besic struck the post early on, but they haven't created any clear cut opportunities since.

In fact, with the confidence running through Swansea's veins, they look the more likely to get a second.

    Trevor Sinclair
Former England winger on Radio 5 live

"It was a terrible penalty, John Stones under cooked his back pass to Tim Howard. It was great anticipation by Andre Ayew and it was a definite penalty. Well taken by Gylfi Sigurdsson and 1-0 to Swansea. I have to say the pressure is on Roberto Martinez."

  4. Postpublished at 19 mins

    Everton 0-1 Swansea

Everton need to get back into this game and will have to push forward. They earn a free-kick a fair way out and Kevin Mirallas's effort strikes the way.

Just two clean sheets in 17 now for the home side.

    Everton 0-1 Swansea

    Ronny Goodlass
Former Everton winger on BBC Radio Merseyside

"I don't know why Tim Howard kicked it. Why didn't he slide? Howard switched off. He didn't expect the back-pass. We keep saying, if you don't make things happen and you sit back and let the other team come at you, things will happen to you.

"It is a stonewall penalty and Gylfi Sigurdsson has put it away with aplomb."

    Everton 0-1 Swansea

No problems with the penalty as Gylfi Sigurdsson sends Tim Howard the wrong way, slotting his kick into the top right-hand corner.

Swans boss Francesco Guidolin is out of his seat and a happy man on the touchline.

    Finished with aplomb.

  8. PENALTYpublished at 16 mins

    Everton 0-0 Swansea

John Stones still has lots to learn. The Everton defender leaves goalkeeper Tim Howard short with a back pass and Swansea striker Andre Ayew is quickest to react.

Howard brings down Ayew and the referee points to the spot.

  9. Postpublished at 15 mins

    Everton 0-0 Swansea

Everton fashion another opportunity as Kevin Mirallas wins the ball back deep in the Swansea half. Unselfishly, he sets up Spaniard Gerard Deulofeu, whose 30-yard effort is straight down the throat of Lukasz Fabianski

The away side will need to be wary of the quick challenges coming in.

  10. Postpublished at 13 mins

    Everton 0-0 Swansea

Fair to say, this game hasn't sparked into life yet, although Swansea's Leon Brittain pole-axes Ross Barkley with a hefty challenge that goes unpunished.

That referee was right on top of that incident, how did he not give a yellow card?

"That is a blow for Everton. Muhamed Besic is in really good form. He and Gareth Barry have been fantastic for the last two games."

How will that change affect the home side? It doesn't alter the shape, with Tom Cleverley slotting in alongside skipper Gareth Barry.

Swansea have good shape in defence, getting men behind the ball and now allowing England international Ross Barkley to influence the game too much.

  13. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 10 mins

    Everton 0-0 Swansea

That's a blow for Everton, who are forced into an early change. The tattooed (who isn't nowadays?) Muhamed Besic lasts less than 10 minutes and hobbles off to be replaced by former Manchester United man Tom Cleverley.

Trouble for Muhamed Besic, he's on the ground. It looks like his day is already over.

  15. Postpublished at 8 mins

    Everton 0-0 Swansea

Everton striker Romelu Lukaku's battle with Swansea defender Ashley Williams will be an intriguing one.

A couple of times now the two have gone for the ball with the Belgian getting the better of his opponent.

Swansea look composed in possession, new boss Francesco Guidolin seems to have instilled some much needed confidence to the side.

    Everton 0-0 Swansea

    Ronny Goodlass
Former Everton winger on BBC Radio Merseyside

"That is what Muhamed Besic is capable of. He has a real desire to go past people. The keeper waved the shot goodbye and he is lucky to see it come off the base of the post."

  17. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 4 mins

    Everton 0-0 Swansea

Goodness me. Everton get on the ball for the first time and almost head to the other end and score.

Striker Romelu Lukaku holds the ball up on the halfway line before feeding Muhamed Besic.

With the Swansea defence retreating, the Bosnian runs and runs, finding himself at the edge of the area but his low shot cannons off the foot of the post and runs clear.

    Lukasz Fabianski was statuesque.

Two teams who like to get the ball down and pass it around, this one will be pleasing to watch. It's Swansea monopolising possession so far, Everton haven't had a touch of the ball yet.
