With Whitehawk now using all three substitutes, you have got to wonder if Dagenham's experience and strength will be too much. Dagenham are going to have the fresher pairs of legs.

Jonathan Bond made another really good save in the build-up, but he couldn't keep it out. A great run by the Hull striker started it all, but in the end it was a tap-in. Really disappointing after a really good first half from Reading.

  18. Evans denies Redfearn claimpublished at 20:43

Neil Redfearn and Steve EvansImage source, Rex Features

Leeds head coach Steve Evans has said Rotherham boss Neil Redfearn "sounds like a man under extreme pressure" after Redfearn suggested Evans signed "substandard" players in the summer.

Ex-Leeds boss Redfearn took over from Evans at the New York Stadium in October. Rotherham are four points adrift of safety in the second tier.

"We let good players go and replaced them with players who are substandard," Redfearn told BBC Radio Sheffield after Tuesday's loss at Huddersfield.

Evans responded: "I could have said that here couldn't I? But I have got too much professionalism about myself.

"I have read those comments and it just sounds like a man as if he is under extreme pressure and wonders what happens if he loses the next one."

Reading caretaker manager Martin Kuhl has stayed level-headed about his temporary position in charge of first-team affairs.

Under-21s manager Kuhl, a former assistant at Wycombe and Aldershot, took charge of the side at Preston on Saturday following Steve Clarke's dismissal and is in the dugout again this evening at Hull.

He admits the club needs to find a permanent successor as soon as possible.

"No disrespect to me or the lads, the club just needs a focus on what we're trying to do and how we move a step forward," he told BBC Radio Berkshire.
