So close to a second goal as Gareth Bale sends a towering header from 10 yards towards the net but Slovakia's keeper does well this time to push it away.

Paul Cole: The more you look at it the worse the Skrtel incident looks. Definitely a penalty and a red card.

David Broome: Slovakia guilty of overplaying, no cutting edge. They have the technical ability to force the game and turn the 2nd half around.

Warning for Wales as Robert Mak springs the off-side trap and has sight of goal but he can't keep his composure and blazes well over from the edge of the area.

Slovakia are short of attacking ideas.

It's hugely encouraging for Wales, of course, but the team that sent holders Spain to a first qualifying defeat in eight years is a shadow of the side that finished above Ukraine in qualifying.

Huge roar as Aaron Ramsey goes over to take a corner where thousands of Wales fans are seated. It's floated in but Matus Kozacik does well to pluck it out of the air before a red shirt can do any damage.

Aaron Ramsey was superb in the first half. He covered so much ground and his radar was in fine working order as he sprayed the ball across the pitch.

He's at it again in the early stages of the second half but is harshly adjudged to have conceded a foul while challenging Jan Durica just outside the Slovakia area.

"Wales need to make sure they don't do anything silly.

"I don't think they can sit back for 45 minutes, they need to provide a threat and, in Gareth Bale and Jonny Williams, they have that.

"It has to be pretty much the same for the second half."

Can Wales finish the job off? We're back under way.

Slovakia's players are first to emerge from the tunnel for the re-start but the body language of some of the players in blue does not bode well. Heads down, worried looks.

Here come Wales...

Quiet first half but will the Slovakia player make an impact in the next 45 minutes?

Penalty?

Impressive stuff from Wales. No sign of any nerves. There's going to be one heck of a party in Bordeaux later if they can hang on.

Vladimir Weiss was excellent during Slovakia's qualifying campaign but the former Manchester City man just cannot get into this. The Wales defence is doing a fine job limiting Slovakia to a half chance here and there.

Slovakia beat world champions Germany in a friendly two weeks ago and holders Spain on the way to Euro 2016. They're enjoying their best spell of the match towards the end of the half but there's a wall of red shirts protecting Danny Ward.

Other than the early chance from Marek Hamsik which was cleared off the line, Slovakia have failed to break into the Wales box.
