    West Brom 1-1 Swansea

Well, I honestly did not see that coming.

Victor Anichebe deserves bundles of credit for keeping that Albion opportunity alive with a tremendously brave header in the mixer. Swansea drop to 16th, and the Baggies go up to 13th.

Oh boy oh boy oh boy.

Those Albion fans streaming for the exits might have been stopped in their tracks.

A West Brom corner is scrambled all over the place. It's cleared off the line once from a Daren Fletcher effort before Salomon Rondon applies the finishing touch.

  4. Postpublished at 90+1 mins

    West Brom 0-1 Swansea

Saido Berahino has a chance to be a hero for West Brom. But his 20-yard effort is wide. Not that any Albion fans would have seen it, as they're all heading to the exits.

  5. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 89 mins

    West Brom 0-1 Swansea

Almost the debut goal Alberto Paloschi's performance deserves.

He meets Kyle Naughton's low ball at the near post and clips it against the upright.

  6. Postpublished at 87 mins

    West Brom 0-1 Swansea

Gylfie Sigurdsson gets 50 shades of excited when he makes some space on the edge of the area, but it's too much excitement as he drags wide.

West Brom looking content with a 1-0 defeat as it stands.

  7. Postpublished at 85 mins

    West Brom 0-1 Swansea

Salomon Rondon concedes a free-kick for - get this - a dangerous low head.

The perennially angry Tony Pulis is even more perennially angry as a result.

  8. Postpublished at 83 mins

    West Brom 0-1 Swansea

Andre Ayew is a masterful actor.

The board goes up to tell him he's coming off for Jordi Amat and Ayew pretends he hasn't seen it. Even when he's told by the referee he pretends nothing is happening. It buys Swansea more time.

  9. Postpublished at 81 mins

    West Brom 0-1 Swansea

Angel Rangel hits another looping volley, but this time it's over his own bar. That gives West Brom a corner which gets nodded around all over the penalty area until Saido Berahino gets an effort on target, but he's offside.

  10. Postpublished at 78 mins

    West Brom 0-1 Swansea

Victor Anichebe wriggles away from the Swansea defence and rifles in a stinger, but Lukasz Fabianski gets down to tip it round the post.

  11. Postpublished at 76 mins

    West Brom 0-1 Swansea

Angel Rangel doesn't score many. And you can tell why. He tries a dipping volley, but the dipping part doesn't begin until about row L.

  12. Postpublished at 73 mins

    West Brom 0-1 Swansea

West Brom make their final change as Victor Anichebe comes on for Sandro. Swansea get a chance from a corner, but Ashley Williams heads straight at Ben Foster.

  13. Postpublished at 71 mins

    West Brom 0-1 Swansea

Here are Alberto Paloschi's touches on his debut, after coming on just before half-time.

Not many touches, but a good number in and around the penalty area.

    West Brom 0-1 Swansea

There's definitely something about this Alberto Paloschi fella.

Gylfi Sigurdsson leads a Swansea break and when Paloschi receives the ball, he tries to jink it away from his man and just fails to do so.

    Gylfi Sigurdsson

Well, I don't think West Brom fans can blame this on Saido Berahino, but it's moments after he came on.

Leon Britton makes a lovely surge from midfield and slips a ball to Alberto Paloschi in the area. Gareth McAuley nudges it away from him but it goes straight to Gylfi Sigurdsson who strokes it into the bottom-left corner from 12 yards or so.

Saido Berahino is removing his tracksuit.

    Berahino is coming on.

    Stephane Sessegnon is coming off.

There are noticeable boos. Booharino, if you will.

Gylfi Sigurdsson, meanwhile, is scuffing a shot wide.

  17. Postpublished at 60 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Swansea

A curious substitution for Swansea. Neil Taylor goes off and Kyle Naughton comes on. That's a left-back for a right-back. Taylor looks slightly puzzled and a little miffed.

  18. Postpublished at 57 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Swansea

Darren Fletcher could maybe have had a hat-trick of headers tonight.

James McClean does superbly well to turn Angel Rangel inside out and get in the cross, but Fletcher, eight yards out at the back post, loops the header over.

  19. Postpublished at 53 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Swansea

While Jonny Evans has the mobility of a combine harvester, Andre Ayew's eyes light up at the back post when he's presented with a half-volley, but he miscues.

Finally Evans is off. On comes Craig Gardner, who goes to right-back and Craig Dawson moves to centre-back.

  20. Postpublished at 52 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Swansea

West Brom need to make a change. Jonny Evans is holding his hamstring and pulling one of those faces which says "nope, I can't carry on gaffer".
