Salomon Rondon gets a jog on down the right wing and forces Ashley Williams to scramble it behind for a corner, but West Brom can't make anything of it.

So here we go again. If we can continue the second half the way we ended the first, I'll be made up I will.

Good news on Ki Sung-yueng by the way.

So that nasty looking head injury to Ki Sung-Yueng meant there was a good seven minutes added on to the first half. This was one of the few games to kick-off at 20:00 GMT too, so we could be in for a late night folks.

Not great news if you've got to get back to Swansea.

Public service announcement for Swansea fans.

Your former boss Garry Monk is on Match of the Day tonight. He's so excited he even retweeted our tweet. Good lad, Garry.

Following on from that Albion fan's tweet, I have a West Brom supporting pal at the Hawthorns tonight. He told me earlier I should be thankful I don't have to watch them every other week.

But I enjoyed (the last seven minutes of) that half.

And that brings to an end a first half that was nowhere as bad as it looked like it might be at one point.

  9. Postpublished at 45+6 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Swansea

We've had a full game of chances crammed into seven minutes of injury time.

Stephane Sessegnon goes for goal with a free-kick from the left side of the area and Lukasz Fabianski has to be sharp to save it.

Can we not play injury time all the ime?

  10. Postpublished at 45+6 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Swansea

What an introduction that could have been for Alberto Paloschi. Wayne Routledge pokes a ball through and the Italian is on to it, but Ben Foster charges out to block the shot and keep West Brom level.

Paloschi famously scored 20 seconds into his AC Milan debut - but the repeat wasn't to be.

  11. Postpublished at 45+3 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Swansea

So hopefully Ki Sung-yueng is OK.

But Swansea need to shuffle the pack, with Alberto Paloschi going up top and Andre Ayew moving deeper.

  12. Postpublished at 45+2 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Swansea

New signing Alberto Paloschi is ready to come on for Swansea, but he'll be waiting a while.

The stretcher is out for Ki Sung-yueng. He's awake, but has barely moved. All sides of the ground applaud as he is carried off.

  13. Postpublished at 45 mins

So, in the build-up to that chance, Stephane Sessegnon's head collides with Ki Sung-yueng's. He's being treated and has not been on his feet since.

  14. Postpublished at 44 mins

More action, which is something we're not used to. Jonny Evans keeps the ball alive at the Swansea by-line and pulls it back to Darren Fletcher, but he miscues.

More worryingly, Ki Sung-yueng is down and not looking in good shape.

The brilliant thing about that chance though, is it started so ridiculously amateurishly.

James McClean initially stood over the ball and about 19 different Albion players ran around in all sorts of directions as McClean ran up to the ball but changed his mind at the last moment.

Maybe it was all just a ruse?

  16. Postpublished at 40 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Swansea

West Brom should be a goal up. They attempt a fancy free-kick routine (more on that in a moment), but in the end Stephane Sessegnon swings it in and Craig Dawson completely misses his header six yards out.

  17. Postpublished at 38 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Swansea

Swansea have injected a bit of pace now and Wayne Routledge gets to charge at the West Brom defence with the ball at his feet. He feeds Andre Ayew down the left channel but the shot is slapped into the side netting.

  18. Postpublished at 35 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Swansea

It's one of those nights where it will take something special and Swansea's Gylfi Sigurdsson almost provides it.

A loose ball bounces in front of him in the middle of the park and he swings a left boot to apply a dipping half-volley from 35 yards. Ben Foster scrambles back and nudges it around the post.

  19. Postpublished at 31 mins

Ladies and gentlemen. The contribution of West Brom striker Salomon Rondon after half an hour is three touches.

    (West Brom are at home).

Hmmm. Interesting one. West Brom's James McClean gets in a tangle with Gylfi Sigurdsson in the area. The Icelander stays on his feet, but there may have been a decision to be made had he gone down.
