Former Chelsea goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini on BBC World Service:"Manchester United are one of the biggest clubs in the world and they are trying to have a shot with one of the best managers in the world.

"There’s nothing wrong in it. I’m not surprised about it. Will he end up there? I’m not sure.

"Jose is such a successful manager. At the same time, Jose Mourinho and Louis van Gaal come from the same school.

"Jose learned a lot from Louis and a lot of his preparation and training sessions are very similar. It won’t be a completely different environment. The players would not have to change a lot and it makes sense."

• Guus Hiddink is unbeaten in his last five competitive contests with Dutch compatriot Louis Van Gaal, winning four and drawing one.
• The Chelsea boss has lost just one Premier League game in his 20 matches at the club (W13 D6 L1).

John Terry is in the Chelsea starting XI this afternoon, this is his first home game since announcing that he would be leaving the club this summer.

I've seen chat that the fans have taken down all of the banners behind the goal, EXCEPT for the JT ones. I'll let you know if that is the case. 

• Manchester United have lost more often to Chelsea than any other opponent in the Premier League era (16 times).

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal: "I don't have any argument to change the line-up. They were sparkling, they were not boring, against Stoke."

Ryan Giggs missed the midweek game in Stoke to trigger all sorts of internet rumours but he's back with the Manchester United staff this afternoon, furiously chewing some gum in the centre circle. Sir Alex would be impressed. 

Arsenal win to go into third place in the Premier League as Manchester City slip to fourth.

He got a cracking assist in midweek but what else do we know about Manchester United full-back Cameron Borthwick-Jackson?

Well, he is one of only four players in the club's history to have a double barrelled surname for starters (any shout on the others?!) and his 23-letter name is the joint longest in Premier League history.

And he went to the same school in Manchester as Ravel Morrison and Tyler Blackett. A decent 5-a-side outfit there...

Chelsea's interim boss Guus Hiddink names the same side that started the goalless draw at Watford last Wednesday. Diego Costa, who leads the attack, is seeking his ninth Premier League goal of the campaign.

Mind you, Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal says he does not believe reports that the club have lined up ex-Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho.

Mourinho, who was sacked in December, said he will be "back soon" after it was revealed his representatives had held talks with United.

Van Gaal said: "When there is such nonsense written about me, I cannot believe there is already a relationship between Jose Mourinho and United."

Mourinho's dismissal from Chelsea ended his second spell in charge at Stamford Bridge.

"I always say I need competition - I need competition every week," the Portuguese, 53, told the Mail on Sunday. "For sure I'll be back soon."

Is John Terry going to end up staying at Chelsea after all...?

Both teams are unchanged. Simple. 

Manchester United

Manchester United have held talks with representatives of ex-Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, the BBC understands.

The 53-year-old Portuguese, who was sacked by the Blues in December, is increasingly hopeful of succeeding Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford.

No agreement has been reached, and the club have made no comment, but negotiations have begun.

Dutchman Van Gaal, 64, is expected to leave United at the end of the season - one year earlier than scheduled.

That would leave the way clear for Mourinho, who is known to be excited by the prospect of taking over at Old Trafford.

On the pitch it's fifth versus 13th, but in global terms this is one of the big ones. Massive in fact.

However, these matches have tended to underwhelm in recent years. Three draws in the last five meetings in the Premier League.
