One advantage Manchester City have going into extra time is that they can use fresh legs - while Jurgen Klopp has used all of his three Liverpool substitutes.

This has given City manager Manuel Pellegrini the chance to bring on Jesus Navas and Pablo Zabaleta for Fernando and Bacary Sagna.

Into the 30 extra minutes....

Back under way! Jesus Navas will now be running at James Milner of course. If they both try and cross the ball it could be game over as they just repeatedly hit the first man for half an hour.

Former Swansea boss Garry Monk: "From Jurgen's point of view you will be pushing the fact they have got themselves back into the game and have a chance of winning it. If you are Pellegrini you will be telling the players not to feel sorry for yourselves."

Yaya Toure is down after a challenge in midfield as the game has a much-needed break. He takes a breath after a clash with Emre Can but he's OK. 

We have FOUR minutes added on. This game has really come to life in the final half an hour. Chance for a late winner?

David Silva gets away with a handball as his shot is then deflected wide. The corner comes in, it's a right scramble and Simon Mignolet again throws himself to stop Yaya Toure's shot from close range!

Simon Mignolet has had some afternoon. A clanger for the goal, a world-class stop to deny Sergio Aguero in the first half and now another brilliant reflex stop as Fernando falls on a loose ball just six yards out. It was at him, not in the corner, but still - a great save.
