"Ashley Williams has been all-action so far, but he now has to be very careful. It's very early to be getting a yellow card against players who are going to run at him."

    Tottenham 0-1 Swansea

Ashley Williams is the first man into the book for a sliding late tackle on Dele Alli. From the resulting free-kick, Erik Lamela plants the ball straight into the arms of Lukasz Fabianski. What a waste.

Kyle Walker finds space, but his low drive flies past the sliding Harry kane on the edge of the six-yard box and wide of the far post.

Christian Eriksen tries again to be the inspiration for Spurs, but his cross into the box - which is designed for Harry Kane to head - is claimed by Lukasz Fabianski.

The home side are really struggling to break down a very deep-sitting and organised Swansea team.

Poor Francesco Guidolin does not look well. He has had a chest infection recently and is clearly not fully recovered. Still, that goal is the perfect medicine.*

*Not literally. Seriously, if you get a chest infection go to the doctors.

"Dele Alli has been poor so far. But as soon as Swansea scored, he upped his tempo. We'll see if he can keep that up."

    Tottenham 0-1 Swansea

To be fair, Swansea have threatened a couple of times and Tottenham haven't really got going yet. Christian Eriksen underlines that by chipping a free-kick from a central position straight out of play.

"That is a training ground move, but it's one of the most intricate you will ever see. They played it out to the edge of the 18-yard box, played a couple of one-twos and then put the ball through, but they got a major stroke of luck with the deflection through to Paloschi."

This wasn't in the script. The visitors lead and it is striker Alberto Paloschi who has scored it. It originates from a corner, which Swansea take short for Angel Rangel to shoot from range. His effort takes a deflection off the heels of Jack Cork and falls perfectly for Paloschi to fire into the roof of the net.

Well played Neil Taylor. Tottenham come forward through Dele Alli, who finds Son Heung-min on the edge of the box but the Swansea defender slides in to take the ball away from danger.

"Spurs have had more of the play, but there's not a lot in it so far. Swansea have set out to play on the break, and they do look very dangerous, very pacy."

    Tottenham 0-0 Swansea

A second decent chance for Swansea as a free-kick is swung into the box but headed wide by Andre Ayew. It was a difficult chance to be fair as the forward had to try and glance the ball towards goal instead of meeting it full on.

Oh, close call to halt Harry Kane as he broke through the Swans defence. He went just a moment too soon to latch on to a chipped ball forward and the flag is up for offside.

"Swansea's defence is looking a bit confused. It's Harry Kane causing them problems. He starts in a number nine position - even though he's wearing number 10 - but is drifting out wide, allowing Son Heung-min to move into the central position, which he likes to do."

  15. GREAT SAVE!published at 12 mins

    Tottenham 0-0 Swansea

Lukasz Fabianski's turn to make a crucial save. Christian Eriksen's low ball from the right is met by Harry Kane at the near post but the shot is blocked by the Swans keeper. Brave and brilliant.

    Tottenham 0-0 Swansea

Swansea are putting a lot of responsibility on the shoulders of lone striker Alberto Paloschi. He has been required to chase after a number of long balls forward. And barring the chance he set up for Sigurdsson he has had little change from the Spurs defence so far.

  17. Postpublished at 8 mins

Tottenham continue to dominate possession. A ball forward towards Dele Alli in the box drops for Kyle Walker but his shot from the edge of the box is blocked.

Spurs win a corner but Andre Ayew heads clear at the near post. Spurs come again and Danny Rose finds Erik Lamela with a low cross from the left but the forward scoops the ball just over the bar. It was a good chance.

What a save that is! Hugo Lloris is the only reason this game is still 0-0. Alberto Paloschi crosses low to the edge of the six-yard box, where Gylfi Sigurdsson is in space and fires powerfully towards goal but is denied by a superb tip over the bar from the Spurs keeper. World class keeping.
