This display from Liverpool is far more like the one at the Etihad than at Wembley. There is a confidence to their play, provided by a scoreline that has given them complete control on the game. City look shot. And they are making another change...

Liverpool still look the more hungry side, which is startling when you consider that City are the side with title aspirations.

It was nearly game over. Divock Origi finds space in the box and fires a low shot from an angle that Joe Hart parries into space before City clear. Had another Liverpool man gambled, he would have had an easy finish into an empty net.

Wilfried Bony is on. The cheers from the Liverpool fans indicate that Raheem Sterling's night is over.

Soon after, Aguero's header inside the box from a David Silva free-kick is blocked near the line by James Milner. Two crucial interventions.

It is not working for City tonight. They try to get something going down the left but Jesus Navas is unable to control and allows the ball to go out of play, much to the delight of the home fans.

Adam Lallana has now scored three goals in his last four Premier League games, the same amount as in his previous 37 appearances. Is the midfielder finally coming good for Liverpool after that big money move?

City finally pose a threat to the Liverpool goal as Jesus Navas' low cross from an angle on the right beats Simon Mignolet but is too far ahead of Sergio Aguero to give the striker a chance of scoring.
