    MK Dons 1-1 Chelsea

If I was the MK Dons manager, I'd be getting a midfielder tight to Cesc Fabregas. The Chelsea playmaker is just sitting in the centre circle and pulling the strings like a master puppeteer. He's seeing the game two moves ahead of everyone else.

    MK Dons 1-1 Chelsea

    Steve Claridge
BBC Radio 5 Live at Stadium MK

"This is about as open as I've ever seen Chelsea play. If you win the ball you are straight on to their back four.

"This is like watching a kid's game, it's brilliant to watch. I can't remember seeing a game like this."

A look at Chelsea's average positions shows they are particularly open, particularly down their left.

Reuben Loftus-Cheek looks to be some player. The 20-year-old is snapping into the tackles like Roy Keane, barging through players like Yaya Toure and has the aura of Steven Gerrard when he gets within 25 yards of goal.

"A player of Hazard's quality, you expected him to play it round the other side of the goalkeeper. And regarding the Costa chance - as a striker he was always going to go for it and not leave it for Oscar."

  5. CLOSE!published at 26 mins

    MK Dons 1-1 Chelsea

And again! A low ball across goal... Diego Costa and Oscar slide in for a tap-in...

Costa gets there but his contact is poor and the ball slides way wide of goal. Oscar, just beyond him, would almost certainly have scored.

  6. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 25 mins

    MK Dons 1-1 Chelsea

This could finish up being 5-4. This time one simple pass from inside the Chelsea half beats the MK Dons offside trap, Eden Hazard latches on to it but rolls his shot against the near post. The ball then bounces at some pace into the very grateful hands of the MK Dons keeper. All happening.

  7. The early patternpublished at 16:24 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2016

    MK Dons 1-1 Chelsea

Seven shots to two in Chelsea's favour, over 70% of the ball and much of the play squeezed into the Dons' final third. What's the score though? All it takes is one deflection or ricochet and bingo, game on.

"Just what they needed - a little bit of fortune. They kept playing it around the area. It's fortunate, but it's 1-1."

    Darren Potter

If you don't buy a ticket, you don't win the lottery etc!

Darren Potter, the ex-Liverpool midfielder, has a punt from outside the area and the ball takes a wicked deflection off Nemanja Matic before looping over the keeper and into the back of the net.

Potter celebrates like he's just got five numbers and the bonus ball.

    MK Dons 0-1 Chelsea

    Steve Claridge

    "That goal was a gift.

"Robinson has to change this system. They are going to get cut to ribbons at this rate."

    MK Dons 0-1 Chelsea

    Phil Shepka

"Kyle McFadzean looked absolutely gutted after his mistake which led to the goal. Goalkeeper David Martin did his best to gee his defender up, but with Chelsea profligate early on, that could prove so costly."

Samir Carruthers with his second shot of the match - from inside the area - but his low effort is easy for Thibaut Courtois.

A chance for Reuben Loftus-Cheek, whose shot is straight at David Martin. Chelsea have got their mojo back.

    Mark Lawrenson

"It has been coming. It's really poor play from MK Dons. Not sure what defender Kyle McFadzean was doing there. He's a heading, kicking centre-half - not a playing one."

    Oscar

Oh no! The groan inside the expectant stadium is audible as Chelsea take a, let's be honest, deserved lead. It all comes from a howler of a backpass from Kyle McFadzean who lets in Diego Costa to tee up Oscar for a virtual open goal. If it carries on like this, it could be 6-0.

    MK Dons 0-0 Chelsea

    Steve Claridge
BBC Radio 5 Live at Stadium MK

"Costa has had a chance to shoot, Hazard had a chance to shoot, Oscar had a chance to shoot. They had so many men lining up it was ridiculous. Still in it MK Dons. Chelsea have had three very decent chances."

  17. Postpublished at 16:15 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2016

    MK Dons 0-0 Chelsea

    Mark Lawrenson

"It's a waste in the end from Oscar, but some of the build-up is exquisite. This is very, very good from Chelsea."

  18. High praise...published at 16:15 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2016

    MK Dons 0-0 Chelsea

If you have just joined us, David Martin pulled off a fine save to deny what looked like a clear opening goal for Chelsea. England's number two approved.

    MK Dons 0-0 Chelsea

If this is Guus Hiddink's doing, he deserves plenty of credit. For the third time in the match, Chelsea's one-touch passing inside the penalty area almost carves an opening - this time from a short corner - but they run into a wall of bodies.

Moments later, another slick move ends with Oscar leaning back and bending an effort past the post from 12 yards out. Chelsea bossing this game.
