Hearts are rattled but Hamilton are yet to get a good sight of Neil Alexander's goal. Both managers will be calling for calmer heads at the interval.

Billy King stings the palms of Accies goalkeeper Michael McGovern with a fierce volley on the angle. Then it all kicks off on the edge of the box, with lots of pushing and shoving after a Igor Rossi flies into a tackle with both feet up.

Hearts midfielder Prince Buaben gets a few dirty looks from his team-mates as he drags a shot off target. He really should have picked out a pass there since the visitors had good numbers up front. 

Following a good wee spell for Accies, Miguel Pallardo robs Darian Mackinnon in the middle of the park and sends Osman Sow galloping in behind the home defence. However, the striker gets his angles all wrong and scuffs a shot well wide.

A clever free-kick sees Alex D'Acol peel away from his marker to nod Ali Crawford's delivery across the six-yard box but Hearts get the ball clear.

The strong wind makes Hearts midfielder Prince Buaben look a little foolish as his free-kick sails straight out of play.

"It's been a scrappy game, with little flow to the ply. That is in part due to the heavy wind, which has held up the ball in the air on more than occasion, but also Hamilton's gritty competitiveness. The home side have been strong, assertive and at times physically imposing. Hearts can live with that, but the visitors' quality has yet to tell."

From the free-kick, Blazej Augustyn picks out Igor Rossi at the back post and the Hearts defender strikes the woodwork from a very tight angle. The ball drops to Callum Paterson in a central position but the full-back can't get much purchase on his first-time shot, allowing Michael McGovern to save.

The first booking of the day goes to Hamilton defender Michael Devlin, who takes out Osman Sow at the knees with a lunging chop.

A nice inter-change between Darren Lyon and Dougie Imrie culminates with the former Accies man blazing a shot high over the target.

Ali Crawford pings in a fierce free-kick after Dougie Imrie is upended by Miguel Pallardo but Hearts goalkeeper Neil Alexander is down smartly to smother the ball comfortably.

The visitors are starting to get a few more touches on the ball but Hamilton are pressing with real intensity and giving their opponents no time to settle.

Lots of long balls in the opening exchanges as the sides try to adapt to the gusty conditions. No goalmouth action to report.

The BBC Radio Scotland commentary team reckon the home side are lining up in a 3-4-3 formation as a strong wind makes life difficult for the teams and reporters trying to organise their notes.

Back in August, Accies ended Hearts' opening run of five wins with a 3-2 victory in North Lanarkshire, with a harsh red card for Callum Paterson swinging the game in favour of the home side.
