What a match! Three goals, two red cards...this was a full blooded top of the table encounter in Spain. Barcelona still have to meet Real Madrid but Luis Enrique's side are on course to add La Liga to the Fifa Club World Cup and Uefa Super Cup they won earlier in the season. And they are still going strong in the Champions League and Copa del Rey. Can anyone stop them?

It will be interesting to hear Diego Simeone's comments. His side self destructed and now face a huge task to stop Barcelona from winning the title. Real Madrid, third in the table and seven points behind Barca, are at home to Espanyol on Sunday.

One way traffic. And so it should be with Atletico down to nine men. The visitors lose another man...but, thankfully, it's not a third red. Augusto Fernandez leaves on a stretcher clutching his left thigh.

Substitute Arda Turan goes within a whisker of scoring against his former club after getting a shot away from the edge of the area. Would he have celebrated had that gone in?

Wave after wave of Barcelona attacks. Neymar has yet to join the party but there is still time for the Brazil forward to find the net. 

Barcelona are looking to rub salt into Diego Simeone's wounds by sending on Arda Turan, signed from Atletico last summer. The Turkey midfielder gets a rousing welcome from 90,000-plus home fans.

Will Atletico's discipline cost them the title? That was another ridiculous challenge. Surely Diego Simeone is not going to come out and defend Filipe Luis and Diego Godin afterwards.

Atletico have pressed the self destruct button again. A mindless challenge by Diego Godin on countryman Luis Suarez just outside the Atletico penalty area near the corner flag results in the Uruguay defender being shown a red card. 

That must be the end of Atletico's chances of a comeback.

The worst thing that could have happened to Barcelona was the half-time whistle. Having ended the half dominating their opponents, the hosts have yet to get going. A substitution is required to shake things up.
