  1. goal

    Xherdan Shaqiri (81 mins)

If ever a game needed a goal it was this one! Mame Diouf lays a ball off to Xherdan Shaqiri 25 yards out, he takes a touch and absolutely smashes a left-footed shot, all sorts of swerve on the ball and it beats Rob Elliot and hits the net.

It was pretty close to Elliot - could he have done better? It's a potentially massive goal too as it leaves Newcastle a long way behind...

Not a happy camp at Arsenal at the moment. Gabriel throwing his arms around after a poor pass out, Arsene Wenger chuntering away on the sidelines, the crowd are turning more toxic by the minute...

    Arsenal 1-2 Swansea

    Paul Ince
Former MK Dons manager on BBC Radio 5 live

“Not only was Cech at fault but there was no-one marking Williams. You cannot make those mistakes at any level, never mind when you are chasing a title.”

  4. City are 'too open'published at 21:19 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March 2016

    Liverpool 3-0 Man City

    Mark Lawrenson
BBC football expert on BBC Radio 5 live

"I think by gambling Pellegrini has made City too open, which was always the risk.

"A great one-touch finish from Firmino, but a shocking touch from Otamendi.”

Heuerlho Gomes has had a rare shot to deal with as the Watford keeper gets behind a Juan Mata shot and pushes it clear. Watford have had more than their fair share tonight though.

[Whisper it quietly but] is it becoming a two-horse race at the top of the league...?

Wow! A huge goal at both ends of the table as Swansea lead!

Not great from Petr Cech as Gylfi Sigurdsson arrows a free-kick in from wide on the right, he flaps at it and Ashley Williams bundles it in from a few yards out.

It's all falling into place for Leicester City tonight...

  8. goal

GOAL - Liverpool 3-0 Man Citypublished at 21:14 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March 2016

    Roberto Firmino (57 mins)

Jurgen Klopp likes playing Manchester City in the league! An impressive double is sewn up as Adam Lallana runs into a ragged City backline and tees up Roberto Firmino to sweep home first time. Lovely finish at the Kop end.

City are 10 points off the pace.

  9. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:13 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March 2016

    Liverpool 2-0 Man City

Manchester City now have three genuine strikers on as Kelechi Iheanacho replaces Fernandinho. City have been very poor though tonight and it would need a goal from each of their strikers to get a win here.

  10. CLOSE!published at 21:11 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March 2016

    West Ham 1-0 Tottenham

If you're going to win the league you need to take points in games like this, and Spurs are now stepping on the gas. Dele Allis is on, Son is coming on and now Harry Kane goes close at the far post when he stretches to turn a Christian Eriksen cross over.

  11. 'Great club'published at 21:11 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March 2016

    West Ham 1-0 Spurs

    Paul Ince
Former MK Dons manager on BBC Radio 5 live

"Team spirit is about the whole club. I was at West Ham as a kid and it was a family club with a great atmosphere right down to the tea ladies."

  14. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 21:10 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March 2016

  16. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:09 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March 2016

    Arsenal 1-1 Swansea

That introduction of Danny Welbeck was met by a chorus of boos by the way - not for him coming on, but for the replacement of Joel Campbell, who has probably been the Gunners' best player. Arsenal fans growing impatient as they hunt for a winner.

  17. CLOSE!published at 21:08 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March 2016

    Man Utd 0-0 Watford

Marcus Rashford adds another string to his bow as the United youngster clears a header from under his own crossbar. Watford well on top at the moment but can they capitalise?

  18. CLOSE!published at 21:07 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March 2016

    Arsenal 1-1 Swansea

How did that not go in! Gylfi Sigurdsson does brilliantly to skip into the penalty area and dance around Petr Cech, it's a tight angle but he fires inches wide!

Swansea so close to a second. Danny Welbeck is on for Arsenal now.

Shohidur Rahman: Spurs and City losing, Arsenal drawing. What a chance for United to make up some ground, not playing like it though.

Paul Humphreys: I guess it would be too much to ask to get United to play well for a second week just straight after a good week
