"I would not be surprised if Dele Alli comes on at half-time. Nacer Chadli has been ineffective and made the mistake leading up to the goal for West Ham."

    James Milner (41 mins)

That Manchester City title challenge looks further and further away now as James Milner scores against his former club! Roberto Firmino picks out Milner charging through the middle, his first touch is superb to sweep him beyond the lunge of Vincent Kompany, and Milner then toe-pokes home off the base of the post.

  4. CLOSE!published at 20:38 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March 2016

    Man Utd 0-0 Watford

    SQUARE IT!

Odion Ighalo is all about strength and movement and he monsters his way past a challenge to surge into the area. David de Gea comes out, he has Troy Deeney crying out for a tap-in but he goes for goal and De Gea saves!

    Big chance...

    Liverpool 1-0 Man City

Manchester City are 10 points behind Leicester's lead as it stands. Lose tonight and it must be game over?

  6. goal

GOAL - Liverpool 1-0 Man Citypublished at 20:33 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March 2016

    Adam Lallana (34 mins)

It's by no means a blockbuster, but Adam Lallana has squeezed Liverpool into the lead! The England man picks the ball up about 35 yards out, Vincent Kompany elects not to close him down and stands off, stands off, Lallana shoots left-footed and it's precise, if not powerful.

Joe Hart perhaps unsighted, perhaps a bit slow to get down to it. It's right in the corner mind...

    West Ham 1-0 Tottenham

Spurs not really at the races, West Ham excellent. Leicester delighted.

  10. Postpublished at 20:31 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March 2016

    Arsenal 1-1 Swansea

Theo Walcott was the scapegoat, well one of them, for Arsenal at the weekend and it may end up being Olivier Giroud's turn tonight. He had to be scoring that volley...

Is Steve McClaren finally managing to conjure an away performance out of the players?

Early days but this is as disciplined a performance as I've seen in a long time from NUFC.

    Ken from Newcastle.

Geoff Cameron makes a wonderful sliding tackle to prevent Newcastle as they have a rare break forwards. Moussa Sissoko was in on goal for a nanosecond but Cameron slammed the door on him.

    Stoke 0-0 Newcastle

And here's the game in a nutshell. Stoke (left) are controlling the game and pressing forward, but can't find a way through a Newcastle side which is sitting back in numbers.

  14. CLOSE!published at 20:27 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March 2016

    Watford 0-0 Man Utd

Chance for Watford as the dangerous Odion Ighalo evades detection in the heart of the penalty area, spins onto his right foot and he just needs to pick his spot - but he puts it wide!

    Bang! What a chance!

Per Mertesacker cushions a superb header down to Olivier Giroud, the striker smashes in a volley from 10 yards out but puts it right onto the crossbar.

He has to score there. Has to...

    Man Utd 0-0 Watford

Watford have a free-kick in a good area but Ben Watson squares it instead of putting it in the mixer and United are able to scramble it clear. Quiet at Old Trafford.

Shot on goal! Roberto Firmino hits the target from the edge of the box but it's fairly routine for Joe Hart.
