The 27-year-old has been with the club for two years and made 45 appearances for the club.
The club has offered extensions to defender James Chester and midfielder Jon Obi Mikel.

Crewe Alexandra and Stoke City will play each other in a pre-season friendly, to raise money for 12-year-old Crewe goalkeeper Ashton Hulme.
He had to have his left leg amputated earlier this year, after being diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer.
The match is due to take place at the Alexandra Stadium on 20 July and all money raised from the match will go to a fundraising appeal setup in Ashton's name.
