Stoke City boss Nathan Jones is denying his team's poor start to the season is down to him making too many changes to the side.
He made six changes to Saturday's team following their midweek cup win over Leeds United in the Carabao Cup.
They then lost 2-1 at Birmingham City leaving the Potters still winless this season and bottom of the Championship after six games.
Quote MessageWe changed in midweek because we've had three games in a week and then we've gone back to what we think is a strong side, put everyone in their positions. I don't think there's any problem whatsoever with changing the team or anything else."

Graham Last: Love Javi, but strange starting eleven and even stranger sub selection #WatfordFC, external.
Claire: Why doesn't Gracia make some changes?? Mix it up a bit and keep the players on their toes? I think some play like they have a guaranteed start.

Javi Gracia holding out for a draw like his job depends on it. Lucky to be holding on, very poor performance again. Why is Sarr not on?!

You can see that Watford have a bit of bite about them in their performance today - fighting for every ball, defending better than what I've seen over the last couple of games. They've needed this performance.

This fixture brought about Newcastle's first league win last season under Rafael Benitez, and it was in November! They're up and running much quicker under his replacement Steve Bruce, thanks to that win at Spurs last weekend.
It was important for their record signing Joelinton to get that goal against Tottenham. The Brazilian missed the defeat to Leicester in the Carabao Cup but will be back, and full of confidence.
Watford's own record signing Ismaila Sarr made his full debut in their EFL Cup win over Coventry, scoring their first goal. I can see him starting - they look short of goals, and have Troy Deeney out injured.
I watched them at Everton and they could have come away with a point if their finishing had been better.
They won their first four Premier League games last season - if they lose their fourth in a row on Saturday, Javi Gracia will be under immense pressure with Arsenal and Manchester City up next after the international break.

You have to go back until 2 April to find a Watford goalscorer in the Premier League who was not Andre Gray or Gerard Deulofeu (Kiko Femenia scored the fourth in a 4-1 win over Fulham).

Gareth Southgate has been explaining why he left Stoke City's Jack Butland out of his latest England squad.
Butland conceded 10 goals in his first four Championship games this season before making way for Adam Federici against Leeds.
Southgate said: "There's no hiding from the fact that it's a difficult period for him."
The England boss said he had called Butland to offer his support and added he hoped the penalty Butland scored in the cup win over Leeds would boost his confidence.
But he added "at this moment in time it's clear that guys who are playing in the Premier League and are playing well have the advantage".

Stoke City manager Nathan Jones says he still has full belief that he can turn the team's form around.
Stoke are yet to win in the league this season and Jones said the team "haven't got what we've deserved".
The team go to Birmingham on Saturday where they aim to climb off the bottom of the Championship table.
Quote MessageWhen you're a manager you have to have belief, unwavering belief, in what you do and how you work and if you do the right things for long enough you get results."

The Stoke City manager Nathan Jones has praised the courage of his goalkeeper Jack Butland, who stepped up to score the winning penalty in the League Cup last night.
Jones said Butland, who has been linked with a move away, has been "much maligned at the minute because everything he does has been highlighted".
And Jones added: "He's not having any luck to be fair to him, he's working hard, he's grafting."
Butland had previously allowed Leeds back into the game after striking a goal-kick against his own defender, allowing on-loan Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah to score, but scored himself from the spot to win the shootout 5-4.
