Stoke City manager Michael O'Neill says this week's defeat to Barnsley "wasn't a game for young players".
He gave debuts to 19-year-olds Christian Norton and Will Forrester, who were both named as substitutes, and O'Neill said it was "a very physical" match.
Forrester last night signed a new 18-month contract at the club, along with fellow youngster Connor Taylor.
