The Stoke City goalkeeper Adam Federici says part of their problem this season has been adapting to their opponents' style of play.
They picked up their first two wins of the season this month and he said it proves "we can do it and can be a good side and have got the quality score goals and keep clean sheets".
But Federici added: "It's just adapting to different games when we come up against different teams that play different styles of football."
He said it was something they had to learn quickly, with another different test against Milwall at the weekend.

Stoke City will be looking for three wins in a row for the first time in three years when they play Sheffield Wednesday tonight.
Their wins against Fulham and Swansea have seen them climb off the bottom of the Championship table, but they remain in the relegation zone and the manager, Nathan Jones, has thanked the Stoke board for its support.
Jones has warned that playoff-chasing Wednesday will be hard to beat.
He said: "It is a difficult place to go, Hillsborough; a great place, a real nostalgic football place, with a lot of history, so it'll be a real good test of our team."

Stoke City's owners have been praised by midfielder Joe Allen for standing by manager Nathan Jones.
The Potters had failed to win in their first 10 Championship games this season, leaving Jones under pressure with the side bottom of the table.
But victory over Fulham at the weekend gave Stoke back-to-back wins and moved them off the bottom.
Quote MessageFair play maybe to the owners for sticking to him when maybe a lot of clubs would have made a different decision and they've got their just rewards for that in the last couple of games."

When does a blip become a crisis? Tottenham fans will have an opinion - and no doubt they will have opinions on who's to blame.
What is clear is that as Tottenham Hotspur PLC grows its store of valuable fixtures and fittings, the only fixtures which matter to fans have been going extraordinarily badly.
Luckily for Spurs, their opponents on Saturday are enduring a shocking start to the season with only three points and four goals collected from eight games.
This is Watford's fifth successive season in the top flight; making it six has to be their only focus - and that won't be easy with such an ageing squad.
