"You wonder if the next goal in this game goes on and wins it.

"If Chelsea get it after the way the first half ended they could go on and win it, Chelsea still have a long way to go in this game but they have a chance."

Ash Bowler: A question i will take to my grave....why on earth did we sell Di Maria!!! Pure class!

Charlie Smith: Watching Hazard is so frustrating. You occasionally see glimpses of his old magic but it just can't quite break through..

Excellent half of football. Well worth £30 in the away end...

Eden Hazard swaps shirts with Angel di Maria as they go off the pitch. That's bound to get some of you riled...

  5. CLOSE!published at 45 mins

    Chelsea 1-1 PSG (Agg: 2-3)

This is the best I've seen Diego Costa play in an age. Since perhaps that crazy game at Everton early last season. PSG can't hack him, as he rolls his man again to get a shot off but Kevin Trapp claws it out.

  6. YELLOW CARDpublished at 45 mins

    Chelsea 1-1 PSG (Agg: 2-3)

Two high feet! Cesc Fabregas is booked for catching Thiago Motta, who then kicks Cesc Fabregas in the shoulder blade! The collarbone. Motta perhaps a bit lucky not to see a second yellow there!

They are hungry for the ball back Chelsea, Pedro this time snapping into a tackle and beating Lucas Moura to set up an attack. Diego Costa looks to get another early shot away but it's blocked, and the follow-up attack from Kenedy peters out.

The hosts are on top as we approach the interval...

Great pressing again from John MIkel Obi to win it back for Chelsea, Diego Costa drives on but is tackled and the ball pops out to Eden Hazard on the left, he cuts inside and hits an instant curling shot which is just too close to Kevin Trapp. It's still breathless stuff...

  9. CLOSE!published at 40 mins

    Chelsea 1-1 PSG (Agg: 2-3)

Pedro and Willian link up neatly down the right and Willian is away, he needs support but it is slow to arrive, the ball eventually picks out Cesc Fabregas in the 'D', and he drags a shot wide. Decent sight of goal.

"It's very significant for PSG that when the goalkeeper gets it how quickly he wants to turn that in to an attack.

"There's no standing around or waiting and time wasting they want it turned around straight away."

If, and it is only an if at the moment, Chelsea do go out tonight, at least the fans can console themselves with the fact that spending over the next 6 to 12 months will reach £200 odd million and they'll be back in the CL in no time. Gotta love the beautiful game!

The handbrake is applied for the first real time all night as both sides look to take a breather 10 minutes from the interval. A cracking game so far, well done to one and all.

Will PSG keep up their high-pressing, high-tempo game after the break? Or sit on their lead?

  13. CLOSE!published at 33 mins

    Chelsea 1-1 PSG (Agg: 2-3)

Lucas Moura is so fast, incredible really as he eats up yards and yards of space to beat Branislav Ivanovic to it and stand up a testing cross. Zlatan Ibrahimovic powers in a header but it's easy for Thibaut Courtois.

Chelsea break, Diego Costa chests the ball past Adrien Rabiot who can only push him over. BOOKED.

"Costa went past Silva like he wasn't there. Willian was brilliant, a change of pace in midfield and there was no way the goalkeeper could save that.

"Game on. You can see the reaction from the crowd, there are good players on show here for both sides. No doubt about it."

GOAL - Chelsea 1-1 PSG (Agg: 2-3)published at 27 mins

    Diego Costa

A really classy goal puts Chelsea back in the tie! Lovely stuff as Willian finds Pedro, his lay-off is first time and perfectly weighted into the path of Diego Costa up against Thiago Silva, edge of the box. Costa checks inside on to his left foot, rolls away from Silva in the process and then drives in low, clinically, into the net.

    Very smartly taken.
