"That's the first bit of quality England have put together and the first time Holland haven't pressed the ball.

"It was a great drag-back from Adam Lallana to play in Kyle Walker, who produced a great ball to square it for Jamie Vardy to finish."

"This isn't Roy Hodgson's strongest team because he needs to give these players a chance.

"We're seeing a team tonight that are lacking the balance and cohesion that we saw against Germany.

"But when they inject pace into their team they can look dangerous and I want to see more of that."

"That's the first we've really seen of Ross Barkley - he rolls the defender and his shot is just a couple of yards away.

"I think the keeper would've covered it but a good effort."

    Scotland 1-0 Denmark

Scotland have had to do some defending after taking an early lead through Matt Ritchie. Yussuf Poulsen and Nicolai Jorgensen have both gone close for the visitors.

BBC Radio Scotland  pundit Willie Miller says: "Scotland haven't done much after that impressive opening eight minutes. Since then, it has been a bit patchy for them and Denmark have had the better of the game."

"Everton's John Stones has struggled for form in recent months - and his determination to play out from defence has twice cause loud murmurs of anxiety around Wembley.

"Stones' confidence may well be fragile and that will not help. You wonder if Everton manager Roberto Martinez's constant indulgence of his ball-playing style has subconsciously led the 21-year-old to almost think it is beneath him to deliver and old-fashioned long clearance."

Portugal have taken a two-goal lead against Belgium. Guess who scored? Yep, Cristiano Ronaldo with a header from Joao Mario's cross. That's the Real Madrid man's 56th international goal.

And Germany are 2-0 up over Italy now, too. Mario Gotze grabs the second, marking his 50th cap with a nice memento.

It's now half-time in both games, as it is in Dublin.

Republic of Ireland defender Paul McShane - making a rare start - tries to deny Robert Vittek a goalscoring opportunity. And he succeeds - but only by chesting the ball into his own net from close range...

The England kit is very much a hot topic on #bbcfootball.

Steven Galloway: Why are international sides always faffing about with kits recently? England v Holland should be navy/white v orange/white.

Stephen Brogarth: The top is quite nice its the short/sock combo that kills it. Socks should match the sleeves then it's pretty good.

"It was an injection of pace into the game at last, a bit of one-touch football down the left-hand side.

"It just bobbles up for Jamie Vardy but he snatches at his shot and lashes it over the bar."
