Slovenia are growing into this. Josip Ilicic has a go at wriggling through a wall of green and into the area. Unsurprisingly, he fails.

Matt Hurst: Bought my missus a cat but demanded it be called 'Sir Alex'. No shortening of name, he gets full title when called to come in

Any humans named after footballers? Or is it just cats?

    Nice move from Slovenia.

Josip Ilicic steps over a through ball and Roman Bezjak is on to it in the right channel of the area. He flashes a shot into the side netting.

"Joe Allen controlled the first half, he showed his class. He always looks like he has plenty of time on the ball. He is certainly a starter for Chris Coleman in that first Euro 2016 game."

I don't want to bang on about this kit thing, but the turquoise of Slovenia is not a million miles away from the green of Northern Ireland.

While over in Kiev, Wales have foregone their usual red to play in charcoal against the blue of Ukraine.

    The mind boggles.

"Wales may be trailing, but their travelling fans are having a great time.

"Having seemingly enjoyed the Ukrainian hospitality earlier today, the Welsh have been in fine voice - and particularly when it comes to cult hero Joe Ledley.

"The Crystal Palace midfielder is on the bench today but, as he has been warming up, the Wales supporters have been pleading with him to recreate the dance which made him something of a social media sensation following their Euro 2016 qualification.

"Ledley politely declined, instead applauding the fans and continuing with his stretches."

"It was a terrific finish from Yarmolenko, it is a difficult skill. There's probably plenty of dampness on the pitch so the ball is skimming up fast. He probably catches Wayne Hennessey flat."

Slovenia came a respectable third behind England and Switzerland in their Euro qualifiers group and picked up wins over the Swiss, Lithuania and Estonia along the way.

Ranked 54th in the world, they were beaten by Wales' opponents tonight Ukraine 3-1 on aggregate in a play-off to reach the finals.

They beat Macedonia 1-0 on Wednesday, with Roman Bezjak getting his first international goal.

Among their ranks are Nottingham Forest defender Bojan Jokic, who's on loan from Villareal.

And West Brom fans will recall Bostjan Cesar (pictured), Slovenia's most capped international with 90 games, who played for the Albion in the 2007-08 season on loan from Marseille.

Northern Ireland v Slovenia (19:45 BST)

    Lyle Jackson
BBC Sport NI at Windsor Park

"Northern Ireland boss Michael O'Neill has been out for a bit of a meet and greet, cup of tea in hand. He's chalking up the miles this week, having been in Berlin to watch Euro 2016 opponents Germany play England on Saturday. Tomorrow, O'Neill is off to Munich to run his eye over the Germans again when they take on Italy. Monday night - it must be Belfast.

"His side are attempting to make history tonight by making it a record 10 matches unbeaten. The boys in green managed nine without defeat twice in the 1980s under Billy Bingham."
