  1. CHANCE!published at 56 mins

    Liverpool 1-0 Tottenham

That could have been curtains for Tottenham.

Philippe Coutinho's exquisite driven cross is just a shade too strong and Daniel Sturridge can only direct a header over the top as he stretches skywards.

Tottenham are immediately gambling more men forward.

They are not going to die wondering...

What have you got then Tottenham?

These are the afternoons on which title challenges are forged or shattered.

Nacer Chadli is the likeliest game-breaker on the Spurs bench.

"That was one of his classic goals. Philippe Coutino played a lovely one-two with Daniel Sturridge and he found the corner. Jurgen Klopp is urging the likes of James Milner that he needs more from his players. This game isn't over by a long way."

    Philippe Coutinho

Where would Liverpool be without this little magician?

Philippe Coutinho plays a pass into Daniel Sturridge on the edge of the box and is immediately on the move.

Sturridge pauses for a half-second, allows the Tottenham defence to be distracted by Adam Lallana's run and returns the ball to Coutinho.

He strokes an ice-cool side-foot finish into the bottom corner and all of Anfield and most of Leicester celebrate.

    Liverpool 0-0 Tottenham

The Harry Kane-Dele Alli connection almost plugs together for Tottenham.

Kane's chip into the box is just over the top of his partner-in-crime who had broke behind Liverpool's defence untracked.

Mamadou Sakho does well to stretch and cut out Danny Rose's cross after the Tottenham full-back had slipped the ball though the legs of James Milner down by the byeline.

Number of netmegs in the match rather than penalty shoot-outs to decide big games? I would like to see it tried.

Masses of space in midfield at the start of the second half.

A draw is not going to do much for either side. I reckon this could get very open very quickly.

    Expect goals.

Jurgen Klopp bounces back out onto the touchline.

More energy than Zebedeee that man. Hook him up to the National Grid and you could light up half of Merseyside.

    Here come Tottenham.

Second half coming up hot and fresh.

Liverpool centre-back Mamadou Sakho may have produced some heart-in-the-mouth moments in the first half, but Emre Can's distribution has been below his usual standards, and crucially it has often come in front of a seemingly fragile back four.

Is there a player who shreds his own fans' nerves as often and effectively as Mamadou Sakho?

The Liverpool centre-back never seems entirely in control of his own feet when the ball is in proximity.

If I was Jurgen Klopp he would be under strict instruction to aim it as far downfield as quickly as possible.

Hugo Lloris has produced the saves to keep Spurs on level terms - but Mauricio Pochettino's side have had chances of their own, only to be wasteful in the final third with their passing and creation.

High quality game. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will need a lie down after all that shouting and jumping about. Pressing high on fourth official Mike Jones.

Dele Alli has been solid rather than spectacular so far, but it nearly clicked from England's next big thing there.

A neat reverse ball to Son Heung-Min is a touch over-cooked before a 40-yard big dipper of a shot keeps Simon Mignolet's gloves warm.

Hugo Lloris with another splendid stop, sprawling to his left to get fingertips to Adam Lallana's mis-hit volley that was bouncing dangerously towards the top corner.

Best goalkeeper in the Premier League? He would give Mr De Gea a hot run for his money.
