  1. PENALTYpublished at 64 mins

    Cardiff 3-1 Brighton

Anthony Pilkington has been a thorn in the side of the Brighton defence all afternoon and he draws a foul from Connor Goldson in the box.

It's a clear penalty. A chance to put the game to bed for Peter Whittingham.

BBC Wales Sport's Michael Pearlman at Cardiff City Stadium:

"As dominant as Cardiff were in the first period, they are now very much on the back foot. Another goal for Brighton and the Cardiff City Stadium is going to become very, very edgy."

  3. Cardiff 3-1 Brightonpublished at 61 mins

Brighton look a completely different side with Tomer Hemed playing alongside Bobby Zamora up front. Cardiff don't seem to know how to handle the extra body.

Anthony Knockaert gets free inside the Cardiff box, but he drives his shot over from a few yards out.

Looking back at that penalty appeal, Bruno Manga is definitely being held inside the area. You've seen them given.

  4. Cardiff 3-1 Brightonpublished at 59 mins

It's end to end stuff at the moment, with Anthony Pilkington winning Cardiff a corner after beating his marker down the left.

Big shouts for a penalty as Bruno Manga goes down inside the box, but nothing is given.

Brighton then go straight down the other end, but Tomer Hemed's shot is blocked and cleared.

    Cardiff 3-1 Brighton

Brighton have looked much livelier since the break, and they get their reward through Dale Stephens.

Jiri Skalak whips a delicious cross into the Cardiff box, and Stephens flicks in a header at the near post.

That is richly deserved after their start to the second half. Maybe Albion can salvage something from his game.

  6. Cardiff 3-0 Brightonpublished at 52 mins

Tom Lawrence is a real threat down the Cardiff right, and he once again gets a shot away.

Brighton had a free-kick a few moments ago, which Anthony Knockaert delivered far too close to David Marshall.

Incredibly, for a team three goals down, there were only four Seagulls players in the box when his cross went in.

  7. Cardiff 3-0 Brightonpublished at 49 mins

Lex Immers has the first chance of the second half, bending a shot narrowly wide of David Stockdale's left-hand upright.

Brighton were pulled apart far too easily yet again, with Anthony Pilkington's movement causing all kinds of problems.

Cardiff have done everything right and it has been exciting. Now they just need good game management to see things through.

  9. Cardiff 3-0 Brightonpublished at 46 mins

The rain continues to thunder down in Cardiff as Brighton get the second half started.

Liam Rosenior and Tomer Hemed replace Inigo Calderon and Steve Sidwell for the visitors.

No changes from Cardiff. Russell Slade will no doubt be delighted with what he's seen from his team so far. He certainly looks it...

    Arsenal 0-0 Hull

A reminder that there's plenty of FA Cup fifth round action for you to follow today.

It's not been quite so exciting so far between Arsenal and Hull, who are still goalless as it approaches half-time.

You can keep up with that game here.

    Best of the rest

It's a busy day of Championship action, with seven fixtures kicking off at 15:00 GMT.

Burnley fans will no doubt be enjoying watching Brighton's first-half capitulation. The Clarets can move above the Seagulls into third place with a win or a draw against struggling Rotherham later on if the score stays the same.

Derby will be looking to stay five points clear of Cardiff as they travel to Brentford, while struggling Bolton entertain QPR at the Macron Stadium.

And two of last season's promoted teams go head-to-head at Stadium MK where victory would give both MK Dons' and Bristol City's survival hopes a real boost.

BBC Wales Sport's Michael Pearlman at Cardiff City Stadium:

"With both sides unbeaten in five and with promotion the aim, you might have expected a tight, cagey contest.

"However, Cardiff, so often criticised for their attacking play this season, even by their owner, have blown the Seagulls away.

"Despite the less than pleasant conditions, Cardiff are dominant thanks to their clinical finishing. They lead 3-0 at half time and it is hard to see a way back for Brighton.

This is the first time they have scored three goals at home since they beat Brentford 3-2 on 15 December."

  15. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:20 Greenwich Mean Time 20 February 2016

    Cardiff 3-0 Brighton

An incredible first-half performance from Cardiff, who were on the back foot early on.

Peter Whittingham's goal turned the game on its head, before Anthony Pilkington and Lex Immers made it 3-0 inside 30 minutes.

Brighton have improved since then, but Bobby Zamora is looking an increasingly isolated figure up front.

The fourth official's board goes up to show two minutes of added time.

Chris Hughton will no doubt have some stern words for his Brighton side in the dressing room.

  17. Cardiff 3-0 Brightonpublished at 42 mins

Brighton are starting to test the Cardiff defence - they might still be in with a chance of getting something from this game if they can tighten up at the back.

Anthony Knockaert dances around a pair of Cardiff defenders, but the angle is too narrow and his shot is saved by David Marshall.

  18. Cardiff 3-0 Brightonpublished at 39 mins

Cardiff are playing with so much freedom at the moment, moving the ball around at ease.

Tom Lawrence runs at the visitors' defence down the middle, but this time David Stockdale is equal to the shot.

  19. Cardiff 3-0 Brightonpublished at 38 mins

    Bobby Zamora can't believe it.

Jiri Skalak drifts a beautiful cross into the box from the Brighton left, but Zamora can't slide the ball in, unmarked, from six yards out.

  20. Cardiff 3-0 Brightonpublished at 35 mins

BBC Wales Sport's Michael Pearlman at Cardiff City Stadium:

"Cardiff City fans are shocked and delighted. Many have called the team boring in recent wees and they had not scored in two games, but everything is turning gold for them this afternoon.

"Brighton have matched Cardiff's shot tally, but find themselves 3-0 down."
