  1. Postpublished at 74 mins

    Atletico Madrid 0-0 Villarreal

Atletico's Filipe Luis is now booked after blocking Antonio Rukavina. You might be able to tell why I'm giving you subs and bookings: There's nowt much happening in the game. Technically, it is very good, but I wouldn't want to watch this every week.

  2. Postpublished at 72 mins

    Atletico Madrid 0-0 Villarreal

Decent chance for a counter attack here for Villarreal. For one of the first times, the visitors commit men forward, and Denis Suarez drills a low cross in from the left but Jan Oblak dives out to claim it at the near post ahead of Cedric Bakambu.

That might be enough for Roma.

Captain Keita stabbed the ball home from a corner and already this looks beyond Palermo.

It was the veteran midfielder's first goal since last March.

  4. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 70 mins

    Atletico Madrid 0-0 Villarreal

And yet another change. Atletico's Luciano Vietto is on for Angel Correa. Home skipper Gabi is booked and then goes in for a 50-50 with Victor Ruiz, goes down in a heap and is then up quick as you like to complain to the referee. Sportsmanship, meh!

  5. Postpublished at 68 mins

    Atletico Madrid 0-0 Villarreal

Saul Niguez, who has been energetic in the Atletico midfield, lifts the ball to the back post for Fernando Torres but Villarreal keeper Alphonse Areola leaps up to claim the ball confidently. Torres has only had scraps to work off tonight.

  7. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 67 mins

    Atletico Madrid 0-0 Villarreal

Looks like another change for Villarreal. Denis Suarez, formerly of Manchester City and Barcelona, is on for Samu Castillejo. The game has gone into a bit of a lull.

  8. YELLOW CARDpublished at 64 mins

    Atletico Madrid 0-0 Villarreal

And in amongst all that Villarreal's Samu Castillejo was cautioned for a foul after Atletico attempted a quick breakaway. That's the first yellow card of the game.

  9. Nearly double trouble for Palermopublished at 20:51 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February 2016

    Roma 1-0 Palermo

An early chance for Maicon on the volley. Not easy for Roma's Brazilian defender but he wasn't far away with an effort that flew just over the bar.

  10. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 63 mins

    Atletico Madrid 0-0 Villarreal

Both coaches look for a change in tactics as they make respective substitutions. For Atletico it's Oliver Torres on for Antoine Griezmann. And for Villarreal it's Adrian Lopez on for Roberto Soldado.

  11. Postpublished at 62 mins

    Atletico Madrid 0-0 Villarreal

Another half-chance for the visitors. Cedric Bakambu has some space to shoot on the run but he can't control his shot as it flies over.

  12. Postpublished at 61 mins

    Atletico Madrid 0-0 Villarreal

Ooh this is a chance for Villarreal as the ball is clipped to the back post where Mario Gaspar is lurking and his cross along the six-yard line is cleared in panic by the hosts.

  13. KICK-OFFpublished at 20:48 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February 2016

    Roma 1-0 Palermo

And here we go again in Rome.

Palermo need to do more to avoid a fifth game without a win.

Another decent cross from Juanfran but Villarreal's defenders are very good at the little nudges in the box which put the attackers off without committing a foul.

  15. Postpublished at 55 mins

    Atletico Madrid 0-0 Villarreal

I've lost count of the number of crosses that have landed in the centre of the Villarreal box with no Atletico player in touching distance. Shortly after a corner which fits that narrative, Angel Correa chips an effort towards goal which Alphonse Areola tips over. He's played well tonight.

  16. Postpublished at 52 mins

    Atletico Madrid 0-0 Villarreal

This game for Villarreal is sandwiched between two Europa League ties against Napoli where Marcelino's team are 1-0 up after the first leg. After making several changes to the team tonight, it seems like the visitors are saving themselves.

A different attitude to the Europa League in Spain compared to England, it seems.

  17. Postpublished at 49 mins

    Atletico Madrid 0-0 Villarreal

Patient build-up from Atletico before Diego Godin loses patience and knocks it forward more directly. Antoine Griezmann picks up the loose ball and feed Koke, but his cross is over-hit.

  18. Postpublished at 47 mins

    Atletico Madrid 0-0 Villarreal

Villarreal start the second half at a decent clip but as per the first half, the build-up is good yet the final ball is lacking.

  19. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:32 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February 2016

    Roma 1-0 Palermo

    Edin DzekoImage source, AP

There's no doubt who's been the central figure in the first 45 minutes in Rome.

Dzeko's miss might have haunted him for months - especially with Totti watching from the stands.

But within two minutes he had made amends with the goal that has given Roma a well deserved and comfortable lead.

It would definitely be game over if a free-kick from Miralem Pjanic a minute before the break had gone in rather than hitting a post.

  20. KICK-OFFpublished at 46 mins

    Atletico Madrid 0-0 Villarreal

Atletico get the second half under way.
