Liverpool kick off. Will they be able to raise their game this half? 

Not sure Liverpool will have a better chance to win this game now Augsburg's top scorer in the competition, Raul Bobadilla, has gone off.

Philippe Coutinho has looked a threat in patches. Daniel Sturridge is yet to shine while Mamadou Sakho has been solid at the back.

That was probably the best chance of the half. Should Alexander Esswein have cut back inside or just taken the shot first time? Difficult to say. 

Anyway, Liverpool still have a clean sheet. What did you make of the half and what does Jurgen Klopp need to change, if anything?

Great chance for Augsburg as Alexander Esswein bolts down the right, cuts inside but Simon Mignolet gathers his shot. Moments later the Liverpool goalkeeper gathers a low cross, let's it slip and then jumps on it again. Relief for Jurgen Klopp's men as the half-time whistle blows. 

James Milner's mistake allows Kostas Stafylidis to cross from the left again, but it's that man Mamadou Sakho who clears. He's playing well tonight. 

Sting going out of the game slightly, which is a credit to the Liverpool rearguard. But they aren't quite clicking going forward as Daniel Sturridge cannot collect James Milner's firm pass forward.

The hosts are getting into decent positions as Halil Altintop works the ball left, but Liverpool's defence is holding firm as Dominic Kohr lets fly from distance. Well over.

Meanwhile in Germany, Augsburg have won a free-kick deep on the right. Ragnar Klavan will take it and it's headed clear after a flick-on. The follow-up shot is then hit on the volley by Kostas Safylidis, whose shot is deflected for a corner. Mamadou Sakho then nods that clear. Solid defending at the near post.

Quick break by Liverpool as Daniel Sturridge takes a shot but it's deflected for a corner. Plenty of team-mates in better positions, which they point out. One of them, Jordan Henderson, then collects the corner at the edge of the box, but his shot is tame. 

Not a great night for Manchester United, but everything is coming up roses for Gary Neville. He's not had the easiest time of it since taking the Valencia job, but his side have just gone 4-0 up inside 30 minutes against Rapid Vienna. Alvaro Negredo has scored the fourth after Santi Mina's brace, either side of a Daniel Parejo goal.

Liverpool right-back Nathaniel Clyne is being kept busy as Augsburg probe down their left again. Brazilian substitute Caiuby is seeing plenty of the ball since he came on for injured starer Raul Bobadilla. 

Nice play from Augsburg as the home fans ratchet up the noise. A decent cross from the left is controlled by Caiuby in the box. Alas it's with his hand.

Alberto Moreno surges down the left for Liverpool from full-back, he rides a couple of challenges but then loses control as the ball goes out. Decent play, though. Liverpool need more of that energy. 

Halil Altintop links play well in midfield for Augsburg as Caiuby passes the ball back to him, but the return out wide is lacking accuracy. 

It's a cross by Ragnar Klavan and Kolo Toure does really well to stretch and clear. A subsequent shot is saved by Simon Mignolet, although it was going well wide.

That's a real blow for Augsburg as their leading scorer comes off with a hamstring problem, suffered early in the game. But the hosts win a free-kick, about 30 yards out. A chance to shoot or cross?

Space for James Milner, as he is found on the right side of the penalty area but his cross is blocked. Moments later, Philippe Coutinho clips the ball through to Daniel Sturridge but the ball clips off the defender and pops up into the goalkeeper Marwin Hitz's hands. 

Raul Bobadilla's night is over. Brazilian Caiuby comes on for the injured striker.
