Chance for Yannick Bolasie as Jason Puncheon crosses from the left and the Palace winger fires well over. He has four goals this season. 

Neither side showing the sort of quality or enterprise to open the scoring. Yohan Cabaye commits the cardinal sin of complaining about a Steven Naismith rather than getting back to defend. Luckily, Mile Jedinak did, and tidies up.

Norwich winger Robbie Brady, again looking busy, wins a corner that is cleared. Gary O'Neil then swings over a deep cross which Wayne Hennessey claims easily. Better from the Palace keeper. 

Norwich's best move of the match. Great passing from the visitors, with Robbie Brady finding Steven Naismith on the edge of the box. Alas, the Scot skews over the top. That was a decent chance.

John Ruddy, another candidate for keepers who fail to breed confidence, misjudges a Palace corner but he was adjudged to have been fouled. Palace defender Scott Dann skewed over at the back post anyway.

Robbie Brady, who, like Matt Jarvis, has been one of Norwich's busiest players cuts inside from the left, but he slips as he shoots right-footed and it's safely into the hands of Wayne Hennessey. 

Yannick Bolasie now barged to the floor for Palace. Yohan Cabaye clips the ball in from the left but his team-mates stand and watch as Norwich clear. Strange. The set-pieces and wide deliveries have not been up to much today.  

Robbie Brady takes the free-kick with the ball headed clear at the near post. Then Brady mis-controls the ball, handing Palace a throw-in. 

Couple of unsung Norwich heroes from the first half. Gary O'Neil and Ryan Bennett have been working double hard to close down the Palace attack. O'Neil involved again now as he steals the ball in midfield. 

Soon after, Matt Jarvis wins a free-kick near the right corner flag.

You get the feeling that a draw would suit neither side but will either be willing to go hell-for-leather for a win? You suspect not. 

Meanwhile, comedian Eddie Izzard is dressed in Palace colours on the pitch talking about his marathon effort for Sport Relief, external. Twenty-seven marathons in 27 days across South Africa, but he's still got the energy to do a lap of honour around Selhurst Park.

Ryan Bennett then shepherds Yannick Bolasie out of play as the Palace winger finds himself on the left wing. Looks like it will be a goalless first half.

Norwich's Andre Wisdom owes his fellow defender Ryan Bennett a beer after the game. Yannick Bolasie, who has gone quiet in the last 20 minutes, gets a dangerous cross over, Wisdom mis-controls it and Bennett nips in to clear before Dwight Gayle can pounce. 

That could have been so much worse for the visitors. Four minutes of stoppage time. 

Palace showing some threat now as they win a corner. "Hit Scott Dann" seems to be the message, as it has all season. Palace have scored more set-piece goals than any other Premier League team. This time the Palace defender can't direct his header goalwards.

Norwich quickly shrug that blow off and come close to earning the opener. Dieumerci Mbokani weaves into the box, he gets closer to goal but he is crowded out at the near post and hooks his effort wide.
