Chesea will have a free-kick 25 yards out as Tommy Elphick wins the ball, but supposedly by going through Diego Costa. Dubious.

Lovely stuff from Bournemouth. Charlie Daniels drives forward with the ball at his feet and puts in Marc Pugh down the left. He sends in a high, hanging cross that Lewis Grabban gets his head to, but can only loop into Asmir Begovic's hands.

"While Bournemouth's first season in the top flight has exceeded even their most ardent fans' expectations, it only takes a clever pass from a World Cup winner like Cesc Fabregas to split open a defence featuring the same back four - Francis, Elphick, Cook and Daniels - that was playing in League One three years ago. Heavy defeats by Tottenham and Manchester City have reminded them how ruthless England's elite clubs can be."

    Oh it should be 1-1.

Another corner comes in and Asmir Begovic has a right good flap at it - it drops to Steve Cook six yards out. It's on the bounce and there's a few men on the line, but there's no way he should hammer it over from there - which he does.

Clever little corner routine from Bournemouth.

Andrew Surman pulls it to the edge of the area, Steve Cook steps over and Joshua King has time and time and time to pull the trigger. He slaps it over though.

Chelsea's Diego Costa is caught offside and looks delighted by it. No, wait, he looks really angry. For a change.

The game is looking as open as the skies above Dorset right now. Plenty of space on the Dean Court pitch. Chelsea are prodding away nicely and have gathered a bit of composure.

As Mark "Mitch" Mitchener alludes to there, the Cherries were looking decent until that sucker punch.

The centre-half credentials of John Mikel Obi had been tested - he played Joshua King onside but recovered to clear the subsequent cross.

And Charlie Daniels forced Asmir Begovic into a save from a tight angle.

Regardless of all that, Pedro has his seventh Premier League goal of the season.

"Just when Bournemouth look to have Chelsea at sixes and sevens early on, with both full-backs getting forward well, the champions take the lead with pretty much their first attack, and a classy finish from Pedro helps the away fans find their voice to sing... 'We hate Tottenham'."

    Pedro

I was about to tell you about a period of impressive Bournemouth pressure. But now I'm not.

Chelsea break with Diego Costa and then Cesc Fabregas who slips in Pedro down the right side of the penalty area.

The Spaniard arches his body to hook a left-foot shot past the on-rushing Artur Boruc and into the net.

"Chelsea goalkeeper Asmir Begovic will be familiar with this ground - he made nine appearances on loan at Bournemouth from Portsmouth at the start of the 2007-08 season, at a time in his career when he only had four outings for Macclesfield under his belt.

"He told Chelsea's website, external he expects 'a tough game against a high-energy, hard-working team' while facing his old club."

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe: "We haven't talked about a top-10 finish, just this game and making sure we give our best and every effort we have to get a result.

"I think we owe it to the supporters, who haven't seen a huge amount of home wins this season, to try to do everything we can to achieve that for them."
