"Jamie Vardy running in behind and harrying players has been a major factor in Leicester's success this season, it's important to note that his absence will have a negative effect. Every question that's been asked of them has been answered. But there's no doubt it's going to be a big loss for them."

The Leicester groundsman has too much time on his hands. Or he's under orders to try and frazzle the minds of any linesmen making a pivotal call.

Leicester are without top scorer Jamie Vardy this afternoon, who serves at least a one-match ban as a result of his red card in the draw with West Ham.

Vardy has scored 22 Premier League goals this season, including 11 opening goals - the most of any player in the division.

Ranieri admits that the Foxes will have to change their style of play without him but backed Riyad Mahrez to rediscover his form and insisted his squad of "Caesars" can cope.

"He is fantastic. Riyad is our light," Ranieri said. "When he switches on, wow, Leicester change colour - that is the truth.

"Without our goalscorer Vardy, it is not easy to play. Without Vardy we have to make some other strategy.

"With Jamie, everyone knows his movement. It could be a change of formation or players.

"I think I have 24 stars. I have 24 Caesars - that is our strength. There isn't one Caesar but there are the other 23."

For three months Leicester have ruled the roost.

For three months Leicester have been top of the Premier League.

For three months every man, woman, dog and child has been asking 'can they actually win the title?'

And now, after a 24-hour period which saw Leicester drop points and lose their focal point, and Tottenham thrash Stoke in truly impressive style, the question on everyone's lips has changed.

'Will Leicester blow it after all?'
