Leicester are level but they are far from in control as Wayne Rooney now shoots narrowly wide from the edge of the area.

A huge goal for Leicester City! Manchester United's lead is short lived, Leicester's resolve and belief is massive.

It's a simple old goal too, Danny Drinkwater chipping a free-kick into the danger area, captain Wes Morgan getting the better of Marcos Rojo to plant a downward header past David de Gea and into the net. In front of the Foxes fans too.

  3. GREAT SAVE!published at 14 mins

    Man Utd 1-0 Leicester

Manchester United have raised their game for the big occasion as Marouane Fellaini knocks the ball down for Jesse Lingard, he cracks in a shot from 18 yards and Kasper Schmeichel has to fly down to his left and makes a fine one-handed save. A second United goal at this stage could be curtains. For today, anyway.

    Man Utd 1-0 Leicester

In the Match of the Day production office, every angle is covered as - just like in pubs and living rooms around the world - eager eyes watch Leicester go for glory.

"This will be hard for Leicester", says Martin Keown, leaning forwards as the referee's whistle blows to start the game.

Minutes later, as the opening goal goes in he says, jokingly:

"See... the wheels are coming off"

"Lads, it's only 1-0!" replies Alan Shearer

Râýmôñd: Bang. Get in there. Martial on the act again. Sorry Leicester wait seven more days.

Chris Seal: Have @ManUtd not read the script?

Pete Roach: As fluent as I've seen United all season. Obviously don't want to have to form a guard of honour ever again.

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri, for once, looks forlorn as he claps his hands to encourage his players after Anthony Martial's goal.

It has been a timid opening from The Foxes, who have barely been out of their own half.

Plenty of time for Leicester to get into this game but they shown nothing yet and Ranieri's concern is understandable. The visiting fans are silenced temporarily - but only temporarily. Full volume again now.

  7. CLOSE!published at 12 mins

    Man Utd 1-0 Leicester

"20 times, 20 times Man United" sing the home fans as they remind Leicester just who the traditional big fish are in the Premier League pond.

Here come the visitors though, as Riyad Mahrez manages to chip in a neat cross which Shinji Okazaki heads over. It was just too high for him but that's a decent chance!

"It was a great attack from Manchester United, Antonio Valencia whipped the ball in from the outside of the foot and found Anthony Martial, who was unmarked at the back post and put it low under Kasper Schmeichel. An impressive start from the home side."

That is a dampener on the Leicester party. And a real boost for Tottenham fans. Leicester have plenty of time to regroup but they are yet to find their feet.

    Anthony Martial

It has been coming, and for once some sloppy defending from Leicester is punished. Antonio Valencia beats Christian Fuchs with ease and stands up a testing cross at the back post where Anthony Martial is on hand to slam through the legs of Kasper Schmeichel.

N'Golo Kante intercepts a head down by Marouane Fellaini like a midfield ninja, and he sets up a first Leicester counter-attack, pinging a crossfield pass into the path of PFA Player of the Year Riyad Mahrez. The Algerian can't quite keep that one in play though.
