All this talk of 'how many players would make it into Peps team...' - surely you get a great manager in to get the best out of players. Anyone can buy a great team of players and win stuff (I've been doing it on FIFA for years!)...

'Attack like Barcelona, defend like Villa' is the opinion of one 5 live caller on Manchester City tonight.

Manchester City captain Joe Hart: "It was a crazy game that we were fully involved in. It was a good game of football and we will wait and see how good a result that is. Two away goals is great, hopefully we make them count. Both teams will always have chances at this stage of the cup.

"Zlatan is not bad is he? I haven't seen it again but the penalty felt very soft. It was a terrible first goal to concede, I gave Fernando the ball and he thought there was an option to pass it, the big man put his size 15s through it and the ball went in.

"We are making history for this club and we don't want it to end. I am proud of the back four tonight."

"It’s a big result for Manchester City. PSG are a class outfit. There were encouraging signs in the latter stages. My main concern is in the Champions League they haven’t hit the heights at home."

"Pep Guardiola won’t be able to come in and have a cull. The players will be on long-term contracts. He mightn’t want some of them but he’ll have to work with them for a year or two.

"Can he improve Mangala and Otamendi as a pair? I still think City are Champions League novices. It took Chelsea eight years to win the tournament."

Danny Mills thinks that only Joe Hart - of the City team who ended the game tonight - would be in Pep Guardiola's plans next season.

What do you think? Will the new manager be given free reign to make such wholesale changes?

"How many of this side that finish the game will start under Pep Guardiola in August? I'm going with one - Joe Hart.

"It doesn't matter how they got there tonight - they rode their luck at times but it doesn't matter. PSG were the favourites and we said losing 2-1 would be OK. They now have a real opportunity in the second leg."
