A Dundee consolation? No, as Paul McGowan flashes a shot into the side netting. Rangers then launch a blistering counter-attack and Andy Halliday sees his goalbound effort blocked.
Rangers 4-0 Dundee
If you're a Dundee fan look away now. It's a stunning fourth goal for Rangers to cap a comprehensive display as the galloping Lee Wallace skips past Paul McGowan and Darren O'Dea before clipping the ball beyond Scott Bain.
The scoreline has a more realistic look now; Rangers fans are ecstatic while those in the away end are streaming for the exits...
Rangers 3-0 Dundee
The visitors think they've pulled a goal back but after a bit of Prodigy dancing inside the box Kane Hemmings sees his shot thud into the side netting.
Hamilton Academical v Motherwell (15:00)
Motherwell have not won at the home of their Lanarkshire rivals in almost seven years and defeat for the Steelmen would see Hamilton Academical leapfrog them into ninth place in the battle to avoid a relegation play-off.
Gary Harkins' and Dundee's miserable day shows no sign of improving, the midfielder balloons his free-kick over the bar.
Another half-chance for Dundee but Gary Harkins hasn't had the best of luck in front of goal and Rangers remain three goals to the good.

"Sprinklers on as officials inspect NDP ahead of Lanarkshire Derby."
The hosts look like they can score with every attack and Dundee don't appear to know how to get back into this cup tie.
James Tavernier trots over to take a corner and takes the acclaim of the Rangers supporters. The game has a pre-season friendly feel to it now...
Rangers 3-0 Dundee
Dundee frustration is threatening to boil over as defender Darren O'Dea earns a yellow card for felling Barrie McKay before the winger could slalom into the penalty area.
No goal this time from the set-piece, though, with Mark Warburton's men in total control of this quarter-final.
Hearts v Partick Thistle (15:00)
Robbie Neilson’s Hearts have an apparently vice-like grip on third place in the Scottish Premiership and can move to within six points of Aberdeen with victory over an inconsistent Partick Thistle side.
The congested nature of the table means seventh-placed Thistle are two points from the top six, yet only six from the relegation zone.
Rangers 3-0 Dundee
Almost a fourth for Rangers as the galloping Lee Wallace shows the Dundee defence a clean pair of heels before slightly over-running the ball, enabling Scott Bain to block his effort.
Moments later Wallace is at it again; attacking Paul McGinn and only just being denied by the frazzled Dundee star.
Rangers 3-0 Dundee
James Tavernier runs over the free-kick before Andy Halliday sends a low effort past the Dundee wall. Scott Bain gets a touch but can't keep it out.
That should be that. Rangers all but in the last four of the Scottish Cup; Dundee boss Paul Hartley emerges from the away dugout with a haunted look...
It's difficult to see how Dundee can salvage this Scottish Cup tie as Rangers continue to pound their defence in search of more goals. Another Rangers attack sees a free-kick awarded after Kenny Miller is sent tumbling. This is in James Tavernier territory again...
Ross County v Dundee United (15:00)
Dundee United take a break from their relegation battle with a Scottish Cup quarter-final against Ross County.
The Premiership’s bottom side hammered County here on league business just seven days ago. Another successful Highland raid for United would proffer not only a Scottish semi-final but a morale-boosting win after losing to Aberdeen in midweek.
However, County have a League Cup final in just eight days' time and will be desperate to go into that match against Hibernian in winning form.
Rangers 2-0 Dundee
Rangers double their lead with the second half in its infancy. Harry Forrester finds Barrie McKay in the box who chests it down for a Kenny Miller cross that Jason Holt makes no mistake to head home.
Two Rangers goals and it'd be fair to assume Paul Hartley wasn't back in his seat in the dugout for either of them!
