Rangers 1-0 Dundee
Quote MessageRangers are in complete control and Mark Warburton will be thinking: more of the same and we're into the semi-finals. The one thing Paul Hartley can take at 1-0 is that it could be a lot worse.

Rangers lead at the break courtesy of Harry Forrester's strike after just 13 seconds. In truth, Mark Warburton's side could and perhaps should be further ahead but have been denied by some desperate Dundee defending and impressive goalkeeping by Scott Bain.
The visitors warmed to the task midway through the opening 45 but have plenty of work to do in the second.
What a chance for Dundee to restore parity! A deep corner kick is headed towards goal by the impressive Gary Harkins but Kane Hemmings, a yard from goal, fails to get a touch to force the ball home and Wes Foderingham snaffles the ball into his prodigious mitts.
Paul Hartley's 90th game in charge of Dundee will have a bitter-sweet feel so far. After falling behind in 13 seconds, the Premiership outfit have fought their way back into this Scottish Cup quarter-final but have struggled to create anything of note to trouble Wes Foderingham.
Rangers boss Mark Warburton, sporting a shorter version of one of those Arsene Wenger puffa jackets, paces his technical area while offering some tactical instructions to his charges.
Dundee, enjoying their best spell of possession in a first half where they've been largely outplayed, probe for an opening before Paul McGowan tries his luck with an ambitious 25-yard effort that's deflected en-route into the arms of Wes Foderingham.
Gary Harkins is then far from a happy camper as he appears to keep the ball in play but the referee's assistant - remember when we used to say linesman? - flags for a goal-kick.
Harkins shakes his head before scuttling back up to midfield as the Rangers fans roar their approval.
Another Dundee corner amounts to the square root of hee-haw as Rangers head clear.
Moments later Gary Harkins tries to trick his way into the penalty area but a swarm of blue jerseys dispossess the midfielder before he can get a shot on target.
Rangers attempt to outfox Dundee with a corner-kick routine from the training ground but Thomas Konrad is alive to the danger, blocking Kenny Miller's shot and the chance is gone.
Much better from Dundee. Kane Hemmings shows some lovely skill to bamboozle Rob Kiernan but his low cross is snuffed out by the Rangers defence.
Wes Foderingham then sprints off of his line to clear the ball off the boot of Rory Loy.
You sense there's another goal in the post...
What was that about one-way traffic? Dundee suddenly thunder forward, Greg Stewart plays in the on-rushing Paul McGinn down the right flank and the latter's dangerous cross is palmed away to safety by Wes Foderingham.
That move demonstrates Dundee's danger. Rangers lead courtesy of that Harry Forrester howitzer after 13 seconds.
Rangers 1-0 Dundee
The hosts have a free-kick in James Tavernier territory and the defender duly obliges, whipping his effort over the Dundee wall but the ball is diverted away by the Superman leap by goalkeeper Scott Bain.
Seconds later, veteran marksman Kenny Miller gallops forward before sending a daisy-cutter narrowly wide.
It's one-way traffic at a sun-kissed Ibrox.
A slick Rangers move involving Kenny Miller, Barrie McKay and Lee Wallace stretches the Dundee defence. The hosts try to find an opening in the sea of white jerseys in front of Scott Bain's goal but to no avail.
The hint of a chance for Dundee as Kane Hemmings flicks on a corner but there are no takes in white shirts to apply the finish inside the box and Rangers' lead remains intact.
Paul Hartley will be encouraged by how his side are beginning to get into the game but Rangers remain dangerous on the counter-attack.
Dundee defender Thomas Konrad has his name taken for cleaning out Rangers winger Barrie McKay. Konrad tried to halt the galloping winger with a low, burrowing challenge but completely missed the ball.
McKay receives some treatment and is taking tiny steps as part of his recovery...
Gary Harkins is doing his best to get Dundee back into this Scottish Cup tie. The midfielder, almost Riquelme-style, demonstrates lovely feet before dinking a ball out to the right win for Paul McGinn but his cross sails out of play.
Rangers 1-0 Dundee
Dundee defender Darren O'Dea extends a telescopic leg to clear Kenny Miller's cross in to the visitors' box. Rangers are pushing hard for a second.
Another Dundee attack and again it's Greg Stewart whose twist and turn on the edge of the area comes to nothing as the Rangers defence repel the danger.
