Rangers 1-0 Dundee
Much better from Dundee. The visitors come forward with their first serious venture into Rangers territory. Greg Stewart's run and pass finds Gary Harkins in space on the left of the penalty area but the midfielder's effort whistles inches wide of Wes Foderingham's post.
Rangers 1-0 Dundee
James Tavernier, in familiar style, pushes forward down the right and unleashes a shot at goal but Dundee goalkeeper Scott Bain does well to palm it away. Moments later, Harry Forrester's cross from the right is headed towards his own goal by Kevin Holt but it clips the post. What a start to the game!
Dundee have possession in midfield as they try to derail the early Rangers juggernaut. However, a long searching ball forward sails out of play and the hosts will have it back.

Forrester's goal was timed at 13 seconds and the hosts, emboldened by that early strike, come roaring forward in search of a second.
Paul Hartley's troops look like they thought the game was due to start at 13:00.
Rangers 1-0 Dundee
Hang on a second. What a start for Rangers. Dundee midfielder Kevin Holt coughs up possession in midfield and Harry Forrester seizes on the opportunity to glide beyond a couple of Dundee challenges before flashing an unstoppable drive beyond Scott Bain.

Rangers have urged their supporters to be be on their best behaviour this afternoon.
Amid concerns over how some fans will react to comments made by Dundee captain Gary Harkins, who referred to them as a "new club" in reference to the liquidation of 2012, Rangers have advised fans to "treat the ill-informed with silent contempt".
Midfielder Harkins had later stated on his Twitter account that the comments to newspapers were "just a wee joke took too far".
"I am really confident. We have been doing really well, so we need to concentrate on our own performances and go and get a result. We knew it was going to be a big week in terms of Parkhead and Ibrox within the space of a few days. Getting the first bit done by coming away with a good result really helps going into this weekend. We can be confident and really enjoy it. I think it will be a great occasion."
"Kane Hemmings has scored a lot of goals for Dundee this season and boys like Greg Stewart and Rory Loy beside him as well, so they will be dangerous. I think Dundee will have a go. In some games we play in our league, a lot of teams sit in and make it difficult for us."
A few stats for you to chew over with your roll & sausage and cup of tea:
Quote MessageThere's a real spirit among them just now, playing with good confidence. It's a massive game for us, there's a fantastic incentive to try and reach a semi-final but we know we're against a good Rangers team.
