  2. Dundee United manager Mixu Paatelainenpublished at 22:08 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2016

    On BBC Radio Scotland

"I thought the first half performance before the goal was good and we were on the front foot.

"A great strike from Henri Anier and we were looking comfortable.

"Our softness at defending a set piece came to the surface again and we paid the price.

"In my opinion, Ryan Dow goes for the ball, he wins the ball and it is a clean challenge and I don't think it was a free kick.

"We still have plenty of opportunities to close that gap and that remains our aim."

It not only takes Mark McGhee's side into fifth place in the Premiership but they leapfrog Dundee, although the Dens Park outfit have two games in hand in which to make up the two-point gap.

    On BBC Radio Scotland pundit

"After the first half, we were very fortunate to go in level.

"We were poor and didn't work as hard as we have been in recent weeks and not as hard as we did in the second half.

"Fortunately, we got an equaliser and it gave us a chance to put a few things right at half time and I think we thoroughly deserved it in the end."

A game of two halves. After United scored the opener, they looked very strong. Then a header by Marvin Johnson, who was the best player on the park, and you have to give credit to Motherwell - in the second half they were first to everything and were deserved victors
