Motherwell 0-1 Dundee United
United defender Coll Donaldson picks up a needless booking after booting the ball into the crowd. Could that prove costly later?
Marvin Johnson shows some twinkle toes on the by-line to take him past Callum Morris, but the Motherwell winger's finish was not as good as his build up and fires into the side netting.
Motherwell make a substitution, with injury prone Stephen Pearson being replaced in midfield with Morgaro Gomis.

Stuart McCall, Former Motherwell manager on BBC Radio Scotland
Motherwell goalkeeper Connor Ripley has to look lively as he gets down low to push away a fine low drive from Paul Dixon.
Motherwell 0-1 Dundee United
Rangers 0-1 Greenock Morton (Denny Johnstone)
It is the away team who take the lead at Ibrox as well in even more surprising circumstances as on-loan Birmingham City striker Denny Johnstone finds the net for a Morton side who are looking to go one better than their draw at Ibrox in December.
Motherwell 0-1 Dundee United (Henri Anier)
Just as BBC Radio Scotland pundit Derek Ferguson was saying that he was surprised such an open game had not produced a goal, United take the lead in stunning style.
John Rankin has a new lease of life in midfield and drives forward before finding Henri Anier 18 yards out and the striker sends a stunning drive into the near corner against his former club.
Going back to that Scott McDonald chance, it looked initially like Michal Szromnik had skidded over the line after saving.
However, television replays showed that the referee and assistant got it right.
Motherwell 0-0 Dundee United
Henri Anier has the ball in the net at the third attempt after being found at the back post by Paul Dixon's chip. The striker's first effort was saved by Connor Ripley, his second was off the post, then his third crossed the line, but he had been offside all the time anyway!
Marvin Johnson comes in from wide unchallenged and unleashes a shot that is spilled by Michal Szromnik and the United goalkeeper recovers to block from Scott McDonald as the striker looks to pounce.
McDonald's blushes are spared as he lashes his second attempt against the post as the flag was up for offside in any case.
Maybe the conditions are becoming a bit slippery and explains why Paul Dixon lashed the ball aimlessly into the stand behind the Well goal when he had plenty of time to either shoot or cross. Amateur antics from the United wide man.
John Rankin's low cross has Connor Ripley in all sorts of problems as the Well goalkeeper spills it and is thankful for a hoof clear from Ben Hall.
Motherwell 0-0 Dundee United
Michal Szromnik was called in late after an injury to Luis Zwick but is a United hero when a fine low pass across the face of goal is turned towards goal by Scott McDonald. The goalkeeper manages to get a hand to it and then gather on the line as the Well striker looked to pounce on the loose ball.
United are quickly into the attack and, after a Henri Anier shot is blocked, it spins into the path of Paul Dixon, but the defender lashes the ball into the side netting from a difficult angle.
Motherwell v Dundee United
Dundee United kick-off in their change strip looking to give their Premiership survival bid another shot in the arm.
The teams are out at a wet Fir Park and we are seconds from the kick-off.
On BBC Radio Scotland
"Yesterday in training Luis Zwick got a knock in his knee, so he misses tonight.
"Michal is an excellent goalkeeper, so there is no problem.
"We want to freshen things up a bit at the back and we need to defend really solidly and nullify their strengths.
"The performances have been good and hopefully we can keep it going."
