Paul Dixon is booked for a foul on Motherwell's Chris Cadden. Not looking good for a United side who are beginning to lose their discipline.

United have gone to pieces and could have gone further behind as Chris Cadden breaks clear but fires straight at goalkeeper Michal Szromnik.

United are beginning to struggle and have not been seen much as an attacking force in this half.

Mark Durnan was getting stripped to replace Callum Morris, but the big defender makes a recovery to stay on the pitch after treatment. However, Keith Lasley is not so lucky and Dom Thomas is the captain's replacement in midfield. 

United defender Callum Morris slides in with a thumping challenge on Keith Lasley inside the United penalty box and both players are left injured by a coming together that leaves your eyes watering.

A poor pass in midfield by Gavin Gunning allows Motherwell to break clear and Marvin Johnson is close to his second goal of the night as his curling drive takes a deflection before skimming the top of the crossbar.

Motherwell's Keith Lasley is booked as he hauls down Ryan Dow as the United forward races towards the penalty box. Blair Spittal's free kick is disappointing as it hits the defensive wall.

Michal Szromnik is determined not to hold the ball and this time pushes away a low cross from Marvin Johnson before the ball is cleared.
