Derby are fifth in the Championship and will look to further cement their play-off spot, as well as take some local pride, by beating Nottingham Forest.

The Seagulls can regain second spot with a win at MK Dons tomorrow.

That Nugent header really was a monumental goal in this Championship promotion race.

Middlesbrough midfielder Adam Clayton tells Sky Sports: "We've scored a lot of goals in the last five minutes of games and we knew we could get one.

"Finally it's gone in for Dave, he works so hard and I'm so happy he's got the goal that won us the game."

Middlesbrough goalscorer David Nugent tells Sky Sports: "I've been thrown on to change the game a little bit, I got one chance and I managed to put it away.

"It's a massive win with the week we've had. It was a gritty 1-0 win, we're back up to second position and we've got to stay there now."

"Albert Adomah has been awful all night but his last few crosses have been far better and that was real quality.

"It was a lovely little flick from David Nugent into the corner. There was nothing the goalkeeper could do."

Middlesbrough have looked a shadow of the side that was six points clear at the top of the Championship in January.

They win a corner thanks to some good movement up front by David Nugent, his shot blocked behind by Michael Dawson, but a poor set-piece is easily cleared to safety.

A nice move from Hull, as left-back Andy Robertson bursts forward and plays a one-two on the edge of the box, but he sends his header straight at Middlesbrough goalkeeper Dimi Konstantopoulos.
