  1. Middlesbrough 0-0 Hullpublished at 70 mins

Middlesbrough have a spell of pressure but Hull keep the hosts at bay for now.

Gaston Ramirez also has an appeal for a penalty - or at least a free-kick near the angle of the box - waved away by referee Andre Marriner.

  2. 'Defences are on top'published at 68 mins

  3. Middlesbrough 0-0 Hullpublished at 66 mins

We're approaching the midway point of the second half, and Hull still looking the more likely to find a winner.

Middlesbrough will go second as things stand, although Brighton will overtake them tomorrow if they avoid defeat against MK Dons, while Hull will remain fourth.

  4. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 61 mins

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Hull

Middlesbrough make the first change from the bench, as Stewart Downing replaces Cristhian Stuani.

Is the script written for the England winger to be Boro's hero tonight?

A mixed reception for Downing as he comes onto the field - a few boos, followed by a chant of "He's one of our own..."

  5. Middlesbrough 0-0 Hullpublished at 61 mins

Sone Aluko wastes a good Hull opportunity, running into traffic and losing possession 25 yards from goal.

Middlesbrough break quickly and Jordan Rhodes pokes wide from eight yards.

  6. Middlesbrough 0-0 Hullpublished at 58 mins

After a quiet first period, Hull striker Sone Aluko has come alive in the second. He tries a curling shot from a tight angle outside the penalty area, and forces Dimi Konstantopoulos to tip over the bar for a corner.

It comes to nothing, but more encouraging signs for the visitors.

  7. Middlesbrough 0-0 Hullpublished at 56 mins

As for Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka, he will be pondering changes too. David Nugent - a former England striker, don't forget - is warming up on the touchline for the hosts.

  8. Middlesbrough 0-0 Hullpublished at 55 mins

It's been a bright start to the second half for Hull, one that their manager Steve Bruce will be very happy with.

But no goal yet. Will he turn to top scorer Abel Hernandez soon?

  9. YELLOW CARD (Clayton)published at 53 mins

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Hull

Middlesbrough midfielder Adam Clayton "takes one for the team" as they say. Hull break down the middle of the field through Sone Aluko, and Clayton hacks the striker down from behind with Boro short on numbers in defence.

A definite yellow, Clayton's 12th booking of the season.

  10. Middlesbrough 0-0 Hullpublished at 50 mins

Hull have started the better of the two teams in the second half.

The powerful figure of Hull forward Mo Diame thinks he's Neymar for a second, twisting and turning on the left touchline and getting a cross in, but a deflection takes it into the goalkeeper's arms.

  11. Middlesbrough 0-0 Hullpublished at 47 mins

Every chance Hull have created so far in this match has fallen to Robert Snodgrass. The winger gets his head to a left-wing cross but can't divert it towards goal.

Credit to Middlesbrough left-back George Friend, who made it as difficult as possible for Snodgrass to get the header on target.

    Forest Legends 2-1 Derby Legends

On Thursday, BBC Sport staged #TheUltimateDerby in preparation for that Derby County v Nottingham Forest game tomorrow.

A match between two squads of legends was simulated on popular computer game Football Manager, with ex-players Brian Laws and Craig Ramage managing the two teams.

Forest took an early lead through Nigel Clough, only for Steve Bloomer to equalise for the Rams before half-time. It was Laws who was celebrating at the end, as substitute Martin O'Neill popped up with a late winner.

There was controversy, however, with Derby fans claiming they should have been awarded a penalty in stoppage time for a foul by Stuart Pearce.

This one could run and run...

Nottingham Forest will hope to complete a league double over local rivals Derby County tomorrow.

Forest won the reverse fixture 1-0 in November.

And they'll go into the local derby in good spirits after Gary Gardner's thunderbolt earned a point at Hull on Tuesday, two days after manager Dougie Freedman was sacked.

    Looking ahead to tomorrow's games...

While their rivals have faltered, Burnley have gone merrily along picking up win after win to go six points clear at the top of the Championship.

The Clarets host mid-table Wolves, while second-placed Brighton visit struggling MK Dons.

At the wrong end of the table, Bolton begin life after the departure of manager Neil Lennon with a trip to Bristol City - who are themselves after points to move clear of relegation trouble.

  17. HT: Middlesbrough 0-0 Hullpublished at 20:38 Greenwich Mean Time 18 March 2016

    Peter Swan
Former Hull player on BBC Radio Humberside

"Not much goalmouth action in this half, and it's taken Hull a bit of time to get into it, but it's been a half-decent game so far.

"Steve Bruce will go in fairly pleased, he just needs to sort that midfield area out, where for me Middlesbrough are getting through too easily.

"Hull looked the better side in the last 10 minutes, though."

  18. HT: Middlesbrough 0-0 Hullpublished at 20:36 Greenwich Mean Time 18 March 2016

In a match between the sides currently third and fourth in the table, it's no surprise that it's been a little nervy at times.

Neither team wants to give much away, and there's just been the one meaningful chance apiece.

Boro's Cristhian Stuani had a header cleared off the line, while Hull winger Robert Snodgrass fired wide unmarked from a Sam Clucas cross.

The hosts will go second as it stands, with visitors Hull remaining a point behind them.

The two clubs that will happiest with this scoreline? Burnley and Brighton.

  19. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:33 Greenwich Mean Time 18 March 2016

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Hull

    Goalless at half-time.

Middlesbrough captain Grant Leadbitter picked up a cheap booking just before the whistle blew for kicking the ball away.

    Still all to play for.

  20. Middlesbrough 0-0 Hullpublished at 45+1 mins

Well that's frustrating for Hull. Robert Snodgrass has support right and left but instead tries to score a wonder goal with his wrong foot from 30 yards.

No wonder there are a few arms thrown around by team-mates and manager Steve Bruce when the attempt flies into the stand.
