    England 0-0 Belgium

Some tricky footwork by Toni Duggan on the left opens up a chance on goal. Spotting the Belgian keeper near her near post, Duggan attempts to curl the ball in at the far post, but fires just over. Good effort.

    Red socks = England.

Plenty of the Lionesses are wearing yellow boots. Helpful tonight.

    England 0-0 Belgium

England are dictating play in these early stages, but no clear cut chances. Toni Duggan attempts to drive forward midway inside the Belgium half but runs into a spot of bother. Belgium are sitting deep.

"When you see the opposition starting with such a young and inexperienced keeper the first thing you say is test her - have a go. I know Jill Scott's said in interviews that she's not brave in the air but believe me - she is."

    England 0-0 Belgium

Belgium's goalkeeper Justien Odeurs is just 18 and she shows some early nerves as Alex Scott pings a cross in towards the far post, aiming for Jill Scott. Odeurs comes out confidently enough but drops the ball in a crowd of players. Fortunately, her team-mates are able to scramble clear.

    England 0-0 Belgium

England are in white shirts, white shorts and red socks. Belgium are in sky blue shirts, black shorts and white socks. From a distance, the kits do look quite similar. If I were playing this game on Fifa, I'd have passed the ball to the opposition defender about five times by now.

In the real world, no such confusion so far. Both sides testing each other out, passing the ball around in midfield.

"If England play to their full ability there's no reason why they can't win tonight, but Belgium won't be a pushover. Jill Scott playing up front is a bit of a different position for her, but I think she'll link up with her Manchester City team-mate Toni Duggan really well."

Handshakes done, national anthems sung. The two sets of players line up around the centre circle as the stadium falls silent to remember those who died in the Brussels attacks last month.

England manager Mark Sampson: "There's only one change from the France game because we were very pleased with that performance, it was a game we deserved to win. The only one change we've made is enfored; Rafferty missing out through injury.

"We plan to continue with the system we played in America. Jill Scott is up front with Toni Duggan. She's doing so well at club level and I think that position is the best place in our setup for her to show her qualities. There'll be a lot of movement with the front four, but hopefully we’ll see Jill popping up between the lines with a goal."

"Jill Scott will be key in stretching this Belgium back-line. She will make the runs to create space for others and stretch the defence. It's a sly little move from Mark Sampson to move her up front."

I said a sell-out crowd was expected tonight at the 12,000 capacity New York Stadium and it is filling up nicely as kick-off approaches. Plenty of fans with England facepaint on and banners held up in the air. A decent atmosphere.

"Belgium will be looking to play mostly on the counter attack but they won't line up with 10 players at the back. They'll be hard to break down but will always have an option going forward. England need to go out there and win the game, this is a great opportunity for them to show what they can do."

Also in action tonight are Scotland and Northern Ireland Women.

Scotland host Slovenia looking to strengthen their bid for automatic qualification. They are currently top of qualifying Group One after beating Macedonia twice, as well as securing wins against Slovenia and Belarus.

"England are going to be Belgium's toughest challenge in the group. Belgium are very well organised and they will no doubt raise their level, but if Mark Sampson's England can be creative and get the ball down in the final third, I expect them to be comfortable winners."
