  1. Brighton 2-1 Burnleypublished at 58 mins

Joey Barton with a stomp on Beram Kayal's leg. Painful.

Now, it must be said the initial challenge seemed okay. The jump and attempt to clear the Brighton player, however, sees Barton come down heavily just below Kayal's knee.

There will be stud marks there, but the officials take no action.

  2. Brighton 2-1 Burnleypublished at 55 mins

Just about the flattest period of play that we've had all day.

Tomer Hemed is flagged for offside as he tries to race away for Brighton. Was a close call that.

  3. Brighton 2-1 Burnleypublished at 52 mins

Andre Gray picking up a long ball on the left for Burnley, the ball is worked to the right and switched quick back the other way.

Neat build-up, but Brighton had the attack covered from all sides.

  4. Brighton 2-1 Burnleypublished at 48 mins

Burnley certainly are not looking like a side flustered by the scoreline right now.

They are moving the ball about with their usual patience. Brighton, however, have the first effort of the half with Jamie Murphy bending a shot wide. Harmless, really.

  7. The big one coming...published at 13:31 British Summer Time 2 April 2016

El Clasico? Lo siento, no hablo Espanol.

No, when I talk about the BIG game this weekend, I'm referring to the trip that League One promotion hopefuls Barnsley and League Two highflyers Oxford United are making to Wembley Stadium tomorrow.

Barnsley go into Johnstone's Paint Trophy final on the back of five wins in their last seven league games.

Michael Appleton's Oxford side have fine form for the upset this season. They have already triumphed over bitter rivals Swindon Town and League One Millwall to reach Sunday's final. And in January, Oxford beat Swansea City 3-2 to knock the Premier League side out of the FA Cup.

The Wembley arch awaits. Exciting times!

Catch live text commentary right here on the BBC Sport website. Oh, the same goes for El Clasico tonight as Barcelona host Real Madrid.

It's quarter-final weekend in the Women's FA Cup and and there has been some fighting talk.

They pay to play - but can third-tier side Sporting Club Albion climb an "astronomical mountain" and beat Manchester City?

Albion striker Leigh Dugmore is determined to lead the charge and sent a cheeky tweet declaring their intent.

"Lucy Bronze, I'm coming for you," tweeted Dugmore, who was playing for Leafield Athletic in the fourth tier of English football last season, while Bronze was starring for England at the Women's World Cup in Canada.

Elsewhere, second division side Aston Villa face holders Chelsea, while Arsenal host Notts County and Sunderland take on Reading.

  10. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:23 British Summer Time 2 April 2016

    Blackburn 1-2 Preston

It could be a tough afternoon for the hosts.

They took the lead when defender Elliott Ward volleyed home from close range but Shane Duffy was sent off for handling a Joe Garner effort on the line and the former Rovers man levelled from the spot.

Simon Grayson's side went ahead just before the break when another former Rovers man, Paul Gallagher, crossed for Jordan Hugill to volley home.

  11. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:20 British Summer Time 2 April 2016

    Brighton 2-1 Burnley

And breather. Seriously, the tempo of this game has been incredible.

Hosts Brighton are deserving of their lead, with Anthony Knockaert restoring their leader after Dale Stephen's effort was cancelled out by Andre Gray.

  12. Brighton 2-1 Burnleypublished at 45 + 3

Off the post. Ghosting in on the far post, Tomer Hemed's headers comes off the woodwork and Anthony Knockaert has a follow-up effort saved.

  13. goal

    GOAL (Knockaert)published at 45 mins

    Brighton 2-1 Burnley

Anthony Knockaert gets ball to feet in the area and then dances, twists and turns to make room for himself to shoot.

Eventually, he gets his strike away and a deflection beats Tom Heaton. Knockaert deserves that goal for his first-half exploits.

  14. goal

    GOAL - Blackburn 1-2 Preston (Hugill)published at 44 mins

A cross from Paul Gallagher is excellently volleyed into the roof of the net by Jordan Hugill.

  15. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 43 mins

    Brighton 1-1 Burnley

Sam Baldock's day is done as he limps off the pitch for Brighton to be replaced by James Wilson.

Seems Baldock tweaked his hamstring with that shot a few moments earlier.

  16. Brighton 1-1 Burnleypublished at 41 mins

    A moment's respite after a hectic 10 minutes.

Sam Baldock gets in on the action of putting Burnley under pressure, forcing Tom Heaton to save. The chances have really piled up. Exhilarating stuff at the Amex Stadium.

  17. Brighton 1-1 Burnleypublished at 38 mins

They scored in quick succession, now both sides go close again.

Dale Stephens goes wide for Brighton and Burnley's Michael Keane heads wastefully off target.

Tomer Hemed then sees a glorious chance go wide of the post for the hosts. That is the best of the lot.

  18. goal

    GOAL (Gray)published at 33 mins

    Brighton 1-1 Burnley

WHAMMY. Andre Gray buries it to level from close range.

Brighton fail to clear a corner at their end and the loose ball is fired home for Gray's 23rd goal of the season.

  19. goal

    GOAL (Stephens)published at 30 mins

    Brighton 1-0 Burnley

Brighton's attacking attentions shift to the right as they search for a more fruitful route to goal.

A chance is made for Sam Baldock. It's blocked.

The ensuing corner produces a chance and then we have another from the left. This time, Dale Stephens is in at the back post to bundle the corner from Anthony Knockaert into the net with his knee.

Brighton v Burnley statsImage source, BBC Sport

This stat snap-shot says it all really.

Burnley's Andre Gray with the only shot on goal so far. And it was a tame effort.

All Brighton's endeavour has so far come to nothing.
