Before we look ahead to today's fixture at the Amex Stadium, let's look back.

We start at Loftus Road, where Middlesbrough heaped pressure on Brighton by moving back into the automatic promotion places with an enthralling 3-2 victory on Friday evening.

Boro captain  Grant Leadbitter had a penalty saved and created two goals as the Teessiders ended a three-game losing run on the road. Jamie Mackie scored a wonderful first-half goal for Rangers and Sebastian Polter had a goal ruled out before helping set up a tense finish by playing a part in Tjaronn Chery's late goal.

    Brighton v Burnley (12.30 BST)

There are fiercely competitive leagues, and then there is the Championship.

Count them, we've had three league leaders since the turn of the year - Burnley, Hull and Middlesbrough.

Oh, then there is Brighton, who were at the summit in mid-December and have been as low as sixth before climbing up to second.

It really does make for fascinating entertainment, considering that the richest prize in club football is up for grabs for those clubs promoted to the Premier League.

    Brighton v Burnley (12.30 BST)

Thirty eight games down, eight to go.

The international break is out of the way, so let the sprint for the line of promotion glory begin.

Leading the way are Burnley, who travel to third placed Brighton & Hove Albion for today's Championship blockbuster.

Right now, it is very much a case of catch me if you can for the Clarets as they look for an immediate return to the Premier League.

Still, they may yet need to show a hint of Usain Bolt to make sure they get over the line.
