Wales midfielder Joe Allen: "Words fail me. I never thought we'd be in this posituion. What an achievement.

"This means so much to everyone.

"We knew we'd score. Once we got level, everyone was confident we'd go on to win. We never give up.

"It will take something special to stop us.

"The emotions that the fans stir up in the lads, and vice-versa, that's what football is all about."

Former Wales rugby international Jonathan Davies: "It's such a small country. It's the football team's time in the sun now. It's fantastic we are so proud. We thought they could do well but they exceeded expectations.

"Belgium are a great side, but we defended well. Aaron Ramsey and Ben Davies are out, but Portugal haven't played that well. Look at Leicester, look at Greece at Euro 2004."

Wales goalscorer Sam Vokes: "The way we reacted shows our spirit. It's an amazing feeling.

"It was a great feeling to score. The work rate was fantastic and that's what won us the game.

"Hopefully we can get through and see the suspended players in the final."

We have seen so many dark days in Welsh football. We played for so many years and have never qualified for a tournament, let alone got this far. I just can't believe what has happened. We can win this. Portugal haven't won a game in 90 minutes yet.

Look at the decisions that Chris Coleman has taken. Brilliant.

The Welsh Dragon spits out fire at its Belgian opponent and burns it to a crispy cinder, while the England lot sit at home and watch how a team togetherness works wonders when you have it. Congratulations to our neighbours west of the border - nothing short of astonishing. Ronaldo, beware!

Richard: Fifteen years I've been going to Wales games. Fifteen years of disappointment, and sparse crowds. And it's all been worth it.

Sam Jones: Wales and England swapping sports. Wales are the nation of football and England have the rugby at the moment

Tactically Chris Coleman has got it spot on: substitutes, systems, everything.

But if Wales got beat they are not getting the excuses out such as 'let's have an inquest, let's get committees to pick new managers'. All I have seen is a manager who has passion and gives instructions to his team and you now have a team which are in the semi-finals of the European Championship.

    John Hartson
Ex-Wales striker on BBC Radio 5 live

The families have been over from the group stages, Chris Coleman has embraced that and it's a great achievement and it's really important to be with the players to share the special moment. I had a little feeling how the game would go. I knew Belgium would create, they have some really good players, but I was still in awe of the Wales response.

It's the best night in Welsh football history, better than 1958 because we have gone one step further.

Wales forward Gareth Bale: "We fought as hard as anyone. We covered every blade of grass. I think we deserve to be in the semi-finals. We believe in ourselves. We know what we're doing.

"It feels incredible. We fully believed we could get this far. We said we'd give it a good go. We're enjoying the journey.

"We'll go into the semi-final with confidence. We can't afford to look past that game.

"We'll do our homework and work on our game plan. It's not long before the next game. I'm sure there'll be a few celebrations but not too much.

"It means everything. Our fans were 10 times as loud despite there being much more Belgians in the crowd. We'll enjoy the journey together."
